A bit too much carbonation. Very hoppy and quite bitter. The malt integrity is there thankfully. A medium bodied beer. Doesn’t make or leave much of an impresssion. A tad dry for warm days or, when you are hot and bothered.
Finally found this rating from a year ago. After so many ho hum lagers this is a good respite. The fact that well hopped beers are popular in hotter climates seems to be lost to most, but this is a welcome departure from the mould. A good orange/amber colour with fine head, the fuggles become evident quite quickly. Good body and mouthfeel and a fine finish in this beer makes it a solid and honest beer jazz88 (2683) - San Francisco, California, USA - OCT 7, 2002
Tap. This should be "S'pore Pale Ale" to shorten Singapore. A gold color with a frothy white head. Hoppy dry and bitter.
