Tp. Golden clear pour with a thin white head. Taste of a classic abbey. Sweet and aromatic. Very smooth finish. Quite the nice brew. hopscotch (11049) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - OCT 20, 2003
On tap at the Maryland Brewers Oktoberfest 2003.
This beer rocks!
Crystal clear, very light yellow ale.
Nice, creamy, white head. Mostly lasting with minimal lacework.
The aroma is interest and good. Notes of jalapenos, Geueze and chardonnay. The high ABV is not evident in the nose.
Tasty. Very sweet up front. Honey and alcohol notes. Well-bittered.
Full-bodied with a creamy mouthfeel and fizzy carbonation.
Short, astringent, dry finish. World class brew! LiebeBier (808) - Annapolis, Maryland, USA - MAR 28, 2003
Very light in color with a peachy/banana nose. Very sweet aroma. It definitely did not taste like 10% ABV - went down very smooth. Slightly weak on the flavor and "fizz". JFGrind (2043) - Glenside, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 1, 2003
This Abbey Trippel is worth sampling. Don't let it's golden macro appearance fool you; this beer packs a punch with 10% ABV. dberger624 (1028) - Voorhees, New Jersey, USA - FEB 1, 2003
Had this on draft at the Grey Lodge Pub in Phila. This didn't taste like any other tripels I've had. Wasn't sweet enough. Had a very creamy taste which wasn't a bad thing. If this was 10% I couldn't tase it.

Looks like Budweiser. Clear gold, no head. Odd nose, lemony and fruity. Reminds me of a liqueur of some sort. Strange flavor. Sugary. Fresh cut grass. Has an unpleasant finish, metallic and harsh, oddly both nutty and sour. Reminds me in some undefined way of strawberry taffy. Palate is very soft, though I'd characterize it as being a bit too thin. argo0 (14127) - Washington DC, USA - JAN 16, 2003
UPDATED: FEB 10, 2006 (2/9/06) Crystal clear apple juice body with white head. Aroma is mild, medium sweet, herbal, some earthy. Taste is moderately sweey, herbal, alcohol, some melon. Too sweet. Medium-full body, light stickiness. (5/3/5/3/10)

(1/16/03) Clear golden body with minimal head. Aroma is rock-candy sweet and apple. Taste is sweet, apple, some Saaz bitterness. Definite alcohol taste/burn toward the back and in the aftertaste. Taste has no carbonation. FWIW, the brewer indicates they actually use corn in this product -- BMC, you are not alone. (6/2/6/3/12)
Very Chardonnay-like fruit notes in this trippel. Fairly good, but a bit thin and undercarbonated. SeanHolland99 (5) - Maryland, USA - NOV 22, 2002 does not count
Yummy. That’s all I have to say about that. Holdwine (1227) - Beertimore, Maryland, USA - SEP 14, 2002
Wow. I guess this was one of the few pleasures of being a monk. Nice golden color. The Brewers Art has a way of hiding the alcohol, until about two hours later. This is a fun tripel. Enough malty character to keep you going.
