Can from Greg g. Nose is grass and spicy hop. Golden body is smooth. A good strong ale with hip acridness at end. Cereal and sugars smooth it out a bit. Pretty tasty.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Best by May 8th 2017.
It pours a pale gold with an inch and receding head of foam.
Smells of kind of spicy hops, sweet and grainy malt.
The taste is nice. Grain with an ample off setting spicy hop character and some sweet notes. A very tasty Golden Ale that’s very easy to drink and doesn’t suffer from a thin body.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a dark yellow-gold color with a small off-white head that faded and left no lacing. The aroma was dryish, perfumey and a bit chalky. The flavor was dry, bitter, perfumey and medicinal. Long finish. Medium body. Disappointing.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Yellow color with a sticky white head. Candy sugar, pear and a hint of earth. Fruity esters, lemon, bitter orange peel, candi sugar sweetness, and a light, almost wheaty malt profile. The alcohol is well hidden. Decent Belgian golden.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Rich copper coloured body with a golden glow and a thick off-white head. Aroma of malt, alcohol, grain and a bit of yeast - not too much going on. Medium-bodied; Strong malt flavours throughout with a lot of grain, alcohol and sweetness near the end. Aftertaste shows a lot of yeast, grain, dry malt and even some light sugars, but a relatively complex flavour. Overall, a nice beer with a good profile, but nothing great, still, well worth trying if you can find it! I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from Total Wine in Alexandria, Virginia on 05-July-2015 for US$2,49 sampled at home in Washington on 22-October-2015.
