Tap at Max’s. Pours lightly hazy orange with a medium, frothy off-white head, medium retention with excellent lacing. Aroma is toast and biscuit malt, pear and apple esters, light spicy hops and earthy yeast. Flavor is malt and yeast dominant with light hops and bitterness, sugar and fruity esters with a dry finish. Draft. Hazy golden amber color. Aroma of sweaty but polite animals and haystacks. Taste is just haystacks, and maybe some funky straw. Not bad.

Tap at brewery. Pours mostly clear amber/ruby with thin, fizzy off-white head. Aroma is mixed berries, cookie and caramel malts, floral notes, and Belgian yeast. Flavor is dry malts, light herbs, berry and dark fruit esters, faint hop bitterness, and faint booze; dry finish. Medium body and low carbonation.
