Very nice brown/red appearance with solid head. Peppery spice typical non-funky Saison aroma. Taste is like a relatively mild Saison with a bit of malt and Belgian yeast. It’s good. DiarmaidBHK (4907) - Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 26, 2016
Bottle from Shawan’s Liquors. Pours amber with a thin brown head. Has a bit of the Belgian yeast thing on the nose. A little sweet on the tongue and it’s missing a lot of the Saison’s funky barnyard elements. Finishes clean. Eh! katrinaez (2019) - norristown, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 14, 2015
Deep amber/red color. Yeasty strain is very nice with the spice settling well. The carbonation makes for almost effervescent instead of just bubbles. Almost tangerine aroma with a fall crispness. Tap BeerandBlues2 (13321) - Escondido, California, USA - MAR 11, 2014
Tap at Max’s. Pours lightly hazy orange with a medium, frothy off-white head, medium retention with excellent lacing. Aroma is toast and biscuit malt, pear and apple esters, light spicy hops and earthy yeast. Flavor is malt and yeast dominant with light hops and bitterness, sugar and fruity esters with a dry finish. Medium body and carbonation. Travlr (24784) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - JAN 9, 2014
Draft. Hazy golden amber color. Aroma of sweaty but polite animals and haystacks. Taste is just haystacks, and maybe some funky straw. Not bad.
