I’d been holding onto the 2013 bottle for way too long, so it was time to drink it, even though it is in the height of Summer. Ah well. This one poured a medium brown color, touch of ruby notes, and a gigantic light tan head. I mean huge, even though it was served almost immediately out of the fridge. This one foamed like crazy. Once it settled (relatively quickly), it was ready to drink. Sweet molasses, dark brown sugar and notes of light spices. Flavor was nice easy to drink sweet molasses, toffee, with some light spices. jonas (7552) - Garching b. München, GERMANY - APR 25, 2005
UPDATED: MAY 7, 2014 Re-rate from bottle. Brown amber, big fluffy golden brown head. Spicy nose, light caramel/broen sugar, plums, orange peel. Sparkly dry body, pumpernickel mouthfeel, Westmalle spiciness, sugar, nicely balanced by hops and fruit into a fresh and moreish finish. Very drinkable.

I didn't know how this ws classified until I got home to look at the site. This poured a reddish color with a tan head and some lacing. When I first sniffed it I asked dberger624, "Is this a spiced ale?" While cold there was a sweet aroma of spice, clove, bubblegum and banana. This turned into barnyard funk, bread and sour cherry, when warmed. The taste started out sweet and malty, cherry was always present in the flavor. As it warmed it turned into a sour and slightly tart cherry flavor. In my mind it went from a spice/herb/vegetable to a flemish sour ale. But a mild sour at that, it was very enjoyable. The best Brewers Art brew i've had to date. obguthr (6304) - Staunton, Virginia, USA - APR 14, 2013
Slutfest 2013: Weak malt aroma. Cloudy brown, thick tan head, fine floaties. Fig and cookie flavor. Light body. Tasty, but not terribly well rounded. nuplastikk (6225) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - MAR 28, 2016
12oz bottle. Pours with very little carbonation, very viscous brown body, thin non-head. A pretty awesome winter ale, captures some Belgian flavors without being a victim of out of control yeast. Some spiced edges, but mostly a big, rich, pleasant Belgian Brown. Sublime. sonnycheeba (5973) - Federal Hill, Baltimore, Maryland, USA - NOV 24, 2013
Tap at brewery. Pours tawny brown with creamy beige head. Aroma is toasted and caramel malts, earthy notes, plums, raisins, and faint ash. Flavor is dry malt base, light floral hop bitterness, dark fruit esters, and light caramel sweetness; dry finish. Medium body and carbonation. snoworsummer (5628) - baltimore, Maryland, USA - NOV 25, 2013
Draft at Brewers Art. Pours cloudy brown with a thin beige head and minimal lacing. Tastes strongly of herbs and lavender. Light body and low carbonation. Smells like toasted grains and cool malt.
