opaque sepia, thin white ring atop tepid pour. Playdoh heavy nose, plenty of chocolate and light plum acidity. Musky chocolate roast malt front palate, light red berry acetic notes balance. Some rotten wood accents but otherwise very Oude Bruin balanced.
Average honey-ish yellow brown appearance. Aroma is of Belgian yeast and what I imagine an untreated diabetic’s urine smells like with a touch of banana. Taste and mouthfeel is like a watered down Bock, which isn’t bad, albeit slightly artificial tasting. It’s not bad. wilnatp (692) - Minnesota, USA - AUG 25, 2013

On tap at Brewer’s Art. Pours a fairly clear amber with a thin white head. Soft toffee and sweet candy in the nose, full of light spicy banana tinged yeast. Medium bodied, soft malt and lots of fruit. Musk and a bit of sweetness. More tropical fruit and sweetness, yeast and lots of phenols. Light apple notes as it warms. Very nice. Draft at brewery. Darker blonde pour, small white head, poor retention/lace. Aroma of stone, fruity esters, herbal notes, cracker, grassy hops. Taste is lightly sweet, light grassy bitterness, yeast, cracker, honey? Palate is bone dry, soft, creamy, lightly bitter finish. Good. JDBaker11058 (2178) - Maryland, USA - JUL 23, 2011
Appearance: buttery gold, half-finger of bright white head, shimmering lace. Aroma: light, sweet and crackery, with notes of champagne, citrus zest, and a hint of herb garden. Taste: biscuity and sweetish, with notes of white grapes, yeasty spices (clove), some citrus, grass, pepper and herbs. Finish: smooth, slightly prickly, champagne-dry, and bittersweet. Notes: Flavors were very similar to those found in their Ozzy, but the palate was more on the oily/syrupy side. Very nice flavors, great balance. For a blonde, it’s a bit of a sipper. savnac (2391) - Anchorage, Alaska, USA - OCT 7, 2009

Draft. Filtered orange-tan color. Fluffy head. Rich, yeasty flavor. Some pleasant Belgian Candi sugar balanced by some hoppy bitterness which grows after a few sips. Creamy and sweet, a very nice Belgian Golden Ale.
