3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Dull amber with a light haze. The aroma is leaning towards lightly crackery malts. Tastes like it would be an alright strong lager with some bready pale malt notes.
Bottle at the chriso Pre-GBBF Shindig 2013 - London. I believe I tracked down this rarity to share with the group! Pours clear gold with a creamy, white topping. Lots of doughy bread in here, then some straight sugar. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Sugary, bready finish with little to no bitterness, slight cereal and hay. Basic but drinks pretty good for the ABV. jackl (8211) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - FEB 1, 2014
Bottle @ Chriso’s Pre-GBBF Shindig. The pour’s gold with a small head. The nose is bread, honey. Pretty faint. The taste is moderately grainy. Some white fruits. Mineral. Watery light body. Actually drinks a bit underweight. Overall, not good. fonefan (49554) - VestJylland, DENMARK - NOV 24, 2013

ChrisO’s Pre GBBF ’Are You Scottish?’ tasting. Almost clear pale gold beer. Little white head. Light dry palate. Light sweet malt. Rescued by okay sweetish marmalade hops. Overall a bit viscous.
33 cl bottle. Pours clear and golden yellow with a small white head. Aroma is grassy and light cornish. Sweet malty, cornish and light grassy. Sweet nalty finish. SnorkWortel (15) - SOUTH AFRICA - DEC 17, 2012
Better than expected, really good on a hot african summers day.
Initial honey aroma, easy drinking beer. Looses head fast. A bit sweet, but crisp Beershine (5224) - VANCOUVER, British Columbia, CANADA - OCT 17, 2012
Weird, the Puma company association...
Hazed gold small but stable cap
Fruity aroma--white plum--tangerine
And hint rambutan
The bbd is in a months time but this tastes distinctly stale and perhaps oxidized with some papery taste. Toasted pale malt backbone and solid body.
Nice herbal hop layer/thread
This could be good but in curremt form is disappointing---can still tell its well made so want to re-rate BeerViking (4908) - Brentford, Greater London, ENGLAND - AUG 8, 2012
Bottle at GBBF 2012, this is the version contract brewed in Bavaria rather than the South African original. Pours dark gold with lacy white head, light aromas of apricot, cereal and crisp German hops. A decent malt and alcohol body, with fruitiness coming through. Sweetish lightly honeyed finish with just a touch of hops and the faintest hint of pineapple. A decent hellbock.
