A mass-market brewery simply could not make a beer like this. Unfiltered, unpasteurized, and bursting with flavor, it has phenomenal body and freshness. Hazy to the eye, and full on the palate.

6 week brewing time. Barley, yeast, hops and water.

50cl (BL2) stylishly, intransparently rebranded as "UNFLT LAGER", brewed by semi-industrial Arco-Bru, imported as craft to South-Africa by Latin Americans? Hard to find out... (easter egg: "I drink craft" hidden on the bottle cap beneath the gold foil). - Hazy beigish pour. Corn starch (maizena) in aroma, mainly that. Residual palemalt sugar, starch in the palate make the yeast stick, the hops pushed to the back, some faint almond aroma. Really sticky in the finish, cooked barley soup - literal; a bit of a harsh peppery and grassy hoppy prickle at that. "Craft [contract] brewed in Bavaria". "Bursting with flavour." Tastes like Aldis unfiltered lager, with a side note of residual headache and scam.

Fisler (446) - Bamberg, GERMANY - MAR 23, 2016
Tolle Optik, trbes Gold, Altgold quasi, zgige Perligkeit, fluffiger Schaum, sauber soweit. Dazwischen leichte Fruchtnoten. Lager geht also auch lecker :)

Having lived in Germany I have to assure my friends that german beer is great and worthwhile, and that a good larger is actually very nice. Unfortunatly beer doesnt travel well even within Germany. Both with the brew houses and straight of tap local breweries. Much of it is impossible to find a nice bottled version of it More recently some breweries have been making strange heavly hopped Hell hybrids. These are desapointeing compared to the balanced sweetness good german hells have. So what am I trying to say then? Well I think this is the real deal. Certanly the best example of a southern german hell I have found in the uk. Its a has a sliky smooth carbination that is not at all overwhealming, It has a sharp sweatness followed by the not overpowering malt note. This last bit is important as many of the major Bavarian macro breweries have a bad skuned malt taste at the end, here its just right, So if you want to expirence a well balanced and authentic example of south german hell beers here is one. Its not a fantastic or stunning example, if I still lived in Germany this would be an very decent but not great beer, but in this country its the best that I have found.
