A mass-market brewery simply could not make a beer like this. Unfiltered, unpasteurized, and bursting with flavor, it has phenomenal body and freshness. Hazy to the eye, and full on the palate.

6 week brewing time. Barley, yeast, hops and water.

Bottled 500ml (BDLX)
Hazy pale yellow color, good white head. Grainy, a bit fruity malty aroma with light spicey hops. Light bodied. Citrus, orange peels, grainy notes, fruity. Lingering citrus fruityness in the aftertaste. Ok.

bartlebier (3982) - Belchium im Biersgau, GERMANY - MAY 3, 2016
50cl (BL2) stylishly, intransparently rebranded as "UNFLT LAGER", brewed by semi-industrial Arco-Bräu, imported as craft to South-Africa by Latin Americans? Hard to find out... (easter egg: "I drink craft" hidden on the bottle cap beneath the gold foil). - Hazy beigish pour. Corn starch (maizena) in aroma, mainly that. Residual palemalt sugar, starch in the palate make the yeast stick, the hops pushed to the back, some faint almond aroma. Really sticky in the finish, cooked barley soup - literal; a bit of a harsh peppery and grassy hoppy prickle at that. "Craft [contract] brewed in Bavaria". "Bursting with flavour." Tastes like Aldi’s unfiltered lager, with a side note of residual headache and scam.

stravale (3065) - Co. Westmeath, IRELAND - APR 10, 2016
Bottle from O’Brien’s, Athlone [110316] as Unflt lager
Ligth golden, frothy white head. Cheap looking label on bottle.
Aroma - Grassy hops, light spicy hops
Taste of light bitter spicy hops, light pale sweet malts, soft flavour
Palate - Soft carb, medium light boidy, slightly creamy, soft bitter and sweet. Finish is clean, light spicy linger
Overall - Quite a decent lager, light spicy linger, easy drinking.

Fisler (542) - Bamberg, GERMANY - MAR 23, 2016
Dazwischen leichte Fruchtnoten. Lager geht also auch lecker :)
