3rd June 2017: mini tasting session with my wife. 330ml can into a ’Hoegaarden Grand Cru’ badged stemmed tulip glass. Can BBD 1st Sep 2017, bought from a Waitrose store. Hazy golden yellow, white topping. Citrus notes in both the nose and taste, herbal traces too. Decent.

Really good Helles. Refreshing yet full of flavour. Can’t think of many better in the style.

Can from Waitrose, Rickmansworth. Hazy Lager, with a lot of zesty, fruity hops in there. Soft palate, and very drinkable. Surprisingly good.

Can. Pours a hazy golden colour with a thin white head. Aroma of lemon sherbet, slight grass, bready malts, subtle spice and some herbal hops. Taste of lemon, grass, grain, some bready malts, subtle spice and slight herbal hops. Light to medium bodied and soft carbonation. A soft, bittersweet, lemony, herbal hop bitterness in the finish. Well hopped for a lager but also quiet sweet. Decent for its style.

CloakedDagger (2440) - - MAY 10, 2017
Bottle 50 cl: Pale yellow with a slight haze and a small, white head. Nose a tad fresher and hoppier than in your typical German Lager - some US hops used? Medium body, malty sweetness yet fairly crisp, fresh and very quaffable with very downplayed bittering hops. 100517

Thanks Šime! Misty body. Classic yeasty lager aroma with some herbal touches, with a similar note in the taste, yeasty maltiness, herbal/spicy hop in the finish. Okay.

Can from Beerhawk. Pours hazy gold with thin white head. Aromas are fresh citrus, lime wine gums and light green herb. Taste is light but sharp citrus with a very mild earthy hop bitterness. There’s a little sweet watermelon too. Nice light body with refreshing sharp sparkle. Overall this is a super refreshing lager with with citrus and sweet fruit and no off flavours to note. Balanced superbly, I am definitely looking forward to having another.
