On tap at the brewpub. A very dark brown beer that is opaque. A smallish ring. The nose is dark fruit and yeast with earth. The flavor begins with that earth and some dark chocolate. It offers grain, rye, perhaps, and yeast with dark fruit that includes raisins. The finish shows some bittering hop effects. Complicated. Tasty, too. An interesting beer.

Draft. Poured into a tall glass a dark brown color with a slight tan head. Dark fruit and roast in the nose. Medium mouthfeel. Slight smoke in the taste along with dark fruit, vanilla, and roasted coffee flavors. Not bad and drinks rather nice. Pint at the brewery. Great brown color with foamy tan head slightly see through. Nose of caramel malts brown sugar yeast. Medium bodied, very light as it hits your palate, decently carbonated, the finish is very long and enjoyable, there are some small notes of dark fruit and molasses, nice Belgian yeast brings complexity. Draft sample at BV. Poured a clear reddish brown color with an average frothy off-white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate toasted malt , nuts and yeast aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy sweet flavor with a medium toheavy bittersweet finish of moderate to long duration. My expectation where exceeded.

Poured from the taps at the pub. Pours a nice brown color and has a nutty aroma. Bitter sweet taste and an oily palate.
