Served between cellar and refrigerated temperatures in a wide-mouth wine glass. Beer poured out a hazy straw yellow with a three inch white head that dissipated quickly. A fine head remains throughout sipping.
Smells immediately of sweet yeast and bread followed by an oaky, floral, and dry white grape (almost a Chardonnay). Leaves little astringence with a nice, crisp mouthfeel.
I immediately taste light, sweet cereals, yeast, and mild banana notes, followed by that big white wine flavor. Pretty straightforward here. Finishes with a lingering bread/yeast combo.
Simple and to the point. A nice refresher with a wine-like elegance. Let it warm up in the glass a little to pull out the yeast flavors.
Draft. Aroma: Grassy, some hay. App: Cloudy ellow, no head. Taste: Hey and a bit of citrus. Palate: Medium body, ok finish. Over: Ok, not great. Hopper8 (159) - Holland, Michigan, USA - OCT 5, 2016
UPDATED: JUN 17, 2017 Having heard so much good about Brewery Vivant I was very excited to try this beer, but itís awful. It smells musty, it looks like a lager, it originally tastes like a lager than gets this weird sour bitterness. Itís awful.
*Tried this a second time, buddy loves it. Actually a pretty good beer, must have been a bad keg when I had it first. Itís actually really good. rosenbergh (11532) - Tampere, FINLAND - SEP 19, 2016

Yesterday evening we were going to visit Brewery Vivant in Grand Rapids but then my son decided that itís not a good idea. So we went to the hotel instead. Iím not saying if it was a good choice or not. Anyhow I decided to buy this beer to see if we really missed something. Letís see.
Slightly cloudy yellow golden color with a small white head.
Apple, yeast, some basement and malt in the aroma.
The flavor is dryish malt, mild hops, fruitiness, apple and some basement. Drinkable.
Not bad but nothing special. Pours a murky gold color with muddled aroma. Would drink again. 77ships (9638) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - MAY 8, 2016
Can sampled @ Hopishop #3. Clear golden with no head. Nose is weird, oily metallic dull corn, sugar, white sugar, hay sweet grains. Taste is dull metallic oily corn, touch of butter, white sugar, apple, oily grains. Oily, soft carbonation, touch of butter. Wow this one is weak, almost flirting with pale lager territory notes. Weak man.

Pours a cloudy golden color, white head that dissipates quickly. Aroma is bread, grass and a hint of lemon. Flavor is mostly dough and bread. Not my favorite style of beer, but probably one of the better farmhouse ales Iíve tried. It came in a variety 9 pack. Anxious to try the rest. Msdrbeat (776) - East Lansing, USA - FEB 28, 2016
At Tin Can canned. Nice spreading mouth feel. Not super carbonated. Enjoyable but I'm all stuffed up and can't smell well. markas101 (2434) - Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA - DEC 13, 2015

Large white head steadily recedes to cover atop a blonde, clear body.
Dough, light dustiness, hints of corn and cereal grains donít really announce much of a saison-like nose. Thereís light lactic character, hints of bubble gum and mild fruits (apples, strawberries). But mostly just dough and grains....
Hard, rather lifeless feel to the beer, with prickly carbonation and tons of huskiness and graininess, leading to a thin, watery finish with light fruitiness and a hint of acidity. Very little malt depth, loose carbonation and just vaguely Belgian.
On one hand I thought about not reviewing the beers I got in this sampler 9-pack, but they were refrigerated and even if they werenít refrigerated, Iíve had Saison Dupontís that have sat on the shelf warm for years that were absolutely delicious. So I donít see any reason why the beers were in such poor condition after 10-12 months in the fridge.
Can. Pours a clear hazy gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of sweet grains with a bit of light fruits and a bit of flora. Flavor has a good amount of sweet grains and flora with a bit of light fruits.
