COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This IPA follows our farmhouse roots while honoring Michigan’s love of hops. Featuring a blend of Michigan-grown hops, this beer celebrates hop flavor on a wholistic level, not solely the bitterness. A rustic, unfiltered cloudiness and farmhouse yeast allows the bright, fruit-forward hops to shine. Well balanced and refreshing, this farmhouse IPA boasts complexity and comfort all in one.

can. Lightly hazy golden with one finger head. Mild sweetness. Grassy body, slight yeast funk. Fruity hops with citrus and tropical. Fairly low bitterness. Really goes down easy, and I enjoyed all the fresh hop flavor.

Better than some autumn harvest wet hop beers I have had, the farm yeast melds well. Hoppy, and not too bitter. A very decent drink if not complex.

Balanced but a bit sweet. Cloudy orange color. IMO, farm house ales should be lower than 7% ABV, so this definitely an IPA.

Can sampled in a glass, this IPA was a hazy medium orange-gold in the glass, it had a white and faint off-white cover, there was nice spots and fingers of lacing on the glass, aromas of grass, grapefruit, orange and floral hops, hops had a hint of herb, toasted malt, some bread, malt and fruit sweetness, the flavors were grapefruit citrus and spice hops, toasted malt, a little orange fruit, pear and peach in the background, faint bread, malt and bread sweetness, there was a good hop bitterness at the finish, the mouth feel was medium, there was average carbonation and it was creamy, a nice drink.

UPDATED: OCT 26, 2017 16 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 10/2/2017. Pours lightly hazy medium orange/amber color with a 2 finger fairly dense and fluffy off white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Nice dense foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of big tangerine, pineapple, peach, pear, apricot, grapefruit, red apple, mango, melon, guava, white grape, peppercorn, light banana/clove, honey, light caramel, toasted bread, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity hops, fruity/spicy yeast, and bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big tangerine, pineapple, peach, pear, apricot, grapefruit, red apple, mango, melon, guava, white grape, peppercorn, light banana/clove, honey, light caramel, toasted bread, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate pine/citrus peel/grassy bitterness and peppery yeast spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of tangerine, pineapple, peach, pear, apricot, grapefruit, red apple, mango, melon, guava, white grape, peppercorn, light banana/clove, honey, toasted bread, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a while. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity hops, fruity/spicy yeast, and bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitter/spiciness balance, and zero cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from bitter/spiciness. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; with a very smooth and moderately creamy/bready/sticky balanced mouthfeel that is great. Minimal warming alcohol for 7%. Overall this is an excellent Belgian IPA. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity hops, fruity/spicy yeast, and bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with modestly bitter/spicy/drying finish. A bit maltier than expected for the style, but really well balanced between local hops and Belgian yeast; nice malt backbone without being too sweet/heavy feeling for the style. Really great levels of complexity from the yeast and hops; nicely juicy feeling. A very enjoyable offering.
