4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
From the can, into a glass. Definitely feels like a quad going down, though with a hint of fruitiness to it. Seems a little hot, but the ABV justifies it. Lots of fruit and caramel and Belgian yeast going on. Very good. Would probably age fantastically, though I do not possess the gene to keep beer in my house that I do not intend to drink at any given moment.
An sweet aroma of raisins and plum with a touch of black peppercorn. A translucent purplish brownish red, depending on where you look at it from within your glass; minimal foam, almost no lace. Tastes of pears and plum, some brown sugar, and a hint of leather. Palate has minimal carbonation, but feels right. Overall, a very nice beer. Not too sweet for a quad. Brewery Vivant is an amazing brewery! hopdog (12510) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 27, 2013
16oz can. Poured an amber color with a smaller sized off white head. Aromas of caramel, some nuts, and some dark fruits. Tastes of dark fruits (plums), caramel, cherries, and some brown sugar. Digging the cherries in the finish the warmer this one gets. I also found the alcohol to be overall well hidden. jbrana (640) - NASHVILLE, Tennessee, USA - NOV 10, 2013
Nice balance if sweet, malty, and slightly tart. Has some golden raisin notes with hints of burnt sugar, vanilla, and Granny Smith apples.

UPDATED: DEC 6, 2013 Straight up alcohol on some sips, but honestly, this is the most palatable quad I?ve had. The raisin sweetness that usually turns me off from this style is more tempered here. SpongeRuiner (1114) - Michigan, USA - OCT 3, 2013
A little too straight up strong for me. No hiding the alcohol here. Honestly I was not a fan at all.

Had at Brewery Vivant's tap room in Grand Rapids with Raith. Had high expectations but this beer was cidery and not to style at all. rubbishystuff (2538) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUL 29, 2013
UPDATED: JUL 1, 2017 From BandC. Unusual for a quad. Thin sour old wine flavor. Some oakiness. Hides its strength. Serving:can

tap at brewpub. amber/brown with small head. lots of fruit, raisin, plum, fig. light tartness, which seems out of place for the style, but I don’t really mind. Booziness pretty well hidden. alexsdad06 (10389) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - JUL 7, 2013
16 oz. can shared by Tmoney99. Pours a deep amber color with a thin off white film. The aroma and flavor have big caramel malts, raisins, plums, fig and hints of cherry. There is a slight metallic character. Alcohol is there, but not terribly distracting. joeneugs (6371) - Livermore, California, USA - JUL 6, 2013
12 oz. can from my secret santa. It got crushed on the trip and only had a few ounces left in the can, but I figure I’ll tick this thing anyway! It poured a nice amber color with obviously no carbonation. The aroma has lots of tart dark fruit… plums, grapes, raisins. The flavor is the same with some alcohol, grapes, raisins. Pretty decent quad especially considering the rigors this particular can went through.
