3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
A citrus aroma with very little barrel... Taste is a little tart with a bit more barrel coming through... Ok
Enjoyed at a tasting at Tom’s last night. 16 oz can. The pour on this is a clear amber-ish color with a thicker fluffy white head that falls off quickly. There isn’t much lace. The aroma is something else. There is a strong sweetness about it and a definite vinegaryness. It’s just messy. There is a strong funk and a light oak. The vinegar is really what makes this a turn off. The flavor is definitely out there also. There is a heavy malt sweetness and a strong vinegar aspect. There is a tart sourness, but the vinegar just doesn’t help anything. There is a spiciness going on, but it’s all over the place. The mouth feel is thicker and syrupy with a sharper carbonation and a lingeringly vinegar and sweet finish. This is just something else. DrewFace (969) - Melbourne, Florida, USA - OCT 25, 2014
Can share thanks to Homer321. Light fruity, mild citrus, light funk. Mostly clear, dark orange. Funky, saison like flavor, spicy, malty, dry in the finish. Homer321 (5190) - Melboring, Florida, USA - OCT 25, 2014
Can from a trade. Nose is honey sweet with some peachy and apricot aromas. Pour is gold and fairly clear. Small white head. Taste is fairly makt forward with a moderate sweetness. Only lightly sour in the flavor. Medium mouthfeel. Decent. bytemesis (9191) - Sunnyvale, California, USA - MAY 12, 2014
Can with thanks to Cocoapuph! Pours clear amber with a small off-white head that dissipates fairly quickly leaving some lacing. Aroma is Bretty, sour oak. Flavor follows, just a bit of sweetness, lightly funky with Brett notes on display, oaky, touch of caramel, but not really sour or tart. Medium body, high prickly carbonation. Not the worlds most complex beer, but really really drinkable. I would love this if it were more like 5% and readily available. Knocked it a bit on appearance for being filtered. hazy yellow pour with a nice fluffy white head. Very little sour, lots of funk, leather, earthy flavors going on. Hints of ripe fruit, barnyard funk.

Tap. Golden with small head. Amazing. Medium Brett is funky and flavorful, but not overly tart. Huge fruit. Easy 4+* beer

Can: copper & amber body, only slightly hazed with a white-ish head that boils down to a chunky collar rather quickly. Aroma is loaded with Brett & quite funky... notes of wet hay, moldy wood & barnyard, dusty old pineapple, cotton, & musty blankets. Lighter fruit-oriented aromas of lemon, honey, & melon. Taste is not as tart as I’d hoped (not surprised based on the aroma, though) with lots & lots of Brett... Notes of old, musty cotton blankets, wet bales of hay, honeydew, cobweb, & a touch of pineapple. Medium bodied, wet finish. Reminds me of a much less complex, more funk-heavy version of Sofie. That said, Sofie is eminently better... this could improve with time, hopefully some tartness starts to emerge. Pailhead (6543) - Rochester Hills, Michigan, USA - FEB 1, 2014

Bottle: The aroma consists of tropical fruits, citrus, sweet tarts, and light brett. It pours a transparent amber with a small off-white head that quickly fades to a thin film outlined by a thicker ring. The flavor starts with a quick dose of fruit and orange peel. The finish has some grain, light brett, and lemon peel. It’s light-medium bodied with mild carbonation.
On tap. Tulip. Grand Rapids.
Appearance: clear, amber is color. Very small head.
Aroma: sour, spicy. Some off notes.
Palate: a little thin. Low carbonation.
Overall: decent flavor. A good beer.
