Nice hazy bronze and light brown coloured body with a thick, two to three centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of pure squash, spices, grain, light alcohol, a touch of tart funky yeasts and more brett and soured earth notes all around, but ends very nicely. Light to Medium-bodied; Assertive spice flavour at first with a nice allspice and coriander seed flavour showng a ton of nutmeg and canella as well, all with a big malt backbone and the funkiness of the brett and soured elements. Aftertaste shows more of the spices and grain than anything else , with a large bunch of soured and funky notes as well that show some nice complexities with a good sweet finish of apples and pears with a bit more of the caramelised sugars. Overall, a very nice and interesting beer that is full of flavour and some nice complexities throughout, all with a solid profile. Tap at the source. Pours orange color, white head. Aroma is tart pumpkin, cinnamon. Sweet potato. Flavor is orange soda with a cinnamon sweet potato infusion and tartness. Pour from a 16oz can. Hazy orange brew with small head. Aroma of pumpkin pie spice with some tart fruity notes. Taste is neutral sweet up front with pumpkin fruit notes, pumpkin spice layers in my mid swallow with a fruity / spicy finish. There is a notable pumpkin fruit element here missing from many pumpkin brews (which more accurately are pumpkin spice brews). Majority of 5.5 oz. pour, on tap at the brewery’s taproom in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Consumed on 9-25-16. Hazy, orange/copper/amber. Small to moderate amount of beige head. Nice color. Tart with pumpkin spice. Smells good. Malty, sweet but not too sweet flavor. The pumpkin is subtle and the tartness even more so. Mint toothpaste. Weird finish and aftertaste. Light body. Frothy in palate.

Can:   Tart is right, a little tart yet sweet.   Moderately spiced, not over the top, more of a myriad of spices.   Some bright candied citrus peel as well, and some brown sugar.   Moderate body and mouthfeel.   Tart and sweet finish, brown sugar, muted spices, a touch warming.   Decent... needs a bit more carbonation as it does feel a little still. arminjewell (9720) - East Lansing, Michigan, USA - JAN 25, 2016

Pours a copper color with a foam head that quickly dissipated to nothing. Aroma is fusel alcohol, some funk, and spices, such as nutmeg, allspice, and cinnamon. Flavor is sweet spices, ginger, nutmeg, allspice, cinnamon, very light tartness, and some fusel alcohols. This is pretty good. Can. Poured a clear deep maroon color with no head. Aroma was pumpkin, spice, tart, and a bit funky. Flavor had pumpkin, spices, hints of berry and cherry, and a tart sourness. Body and texture were on the light side with the carbonation being average. Finish was tart and dry. This was pretty interesting. It almost felt like a sour to me. It wasn’t bad.
