Can. A pitch black beer with a thin brown head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, berries, and wood. The flavor is sweet with notes of brettanomyces, roasted malt, wood, berries, and chocolate, leading to a dry finish. yespr (47567) - Copenhagen O, DENMARK - JUL 20, 2013

Can 1 pt. Pours black with a vague tint of red, hardly any head. Nose has roastiness, blood and a tart edge. Medium body, hardly any carbonation, roasty, metallic, balsamico and again this tart edge. Interesting idea to can a flat, sour black ale! 200713

Nice. Tart and cidery. Couldn't drink too much. But nice. Had at their tap room in GR. joeneugs (6372) - Livermore, California, USA - JUL 10, 2013
16 oz. can from Honkeybra, my summer secret Santa! It pours a very thick black color with a disappearing tan head. The aroma is nice with roasted, toasty chocolate malts and a slight dark berry presence. Doesn’t smell sour. The flavor is roasted malt with some very nice sweet/tart berries. The sweet tarts come in strong in the finish. I really like this one. Berry tartness with no acid or nail polish remover. Nice dark chocolaty backbone. Very nice beer! Strange one. On the pour you can smell soy sauce but it kind of morphs into this aroma of sour coffee and a metallic, wet-earth smell. Flavor is pretty interesting. Tart and sour at the front that turns into a day-old-coffee flavor. A little too forward with the sour, kind of unbalances it. Glad to try it, but can’t see drinking it often, even if it was regularly available. alexsdad06 (10805) - West Chester, Ohio, USA - JUL 7, 2013
16 oz. can shared by Tmoney99. Pours a dark cola brown color with a small beige head. The aroma and flavor have some roasted malt from the base beer, dark chocolate, tart black cherries with a hint of spicy yeast character. Decent for a soured stout. mikem409 (2029) - bloomfield, Michigan, USA - JUL 5, 2013
