Draft on tap at the brewery (Grand Rapids, MI). Pours a rich amber orange hue, darker with a gentle haze. Mellow carbonation, frothy offwhite head dies as a ring, laces ok. Very nice glow in body and edges. Aromas throw gentle fruit, a bit of ester, some firmer grapefruit and lemon. Gentle florals, mellow bitter hoppy nose to start but it is a bit cold. A bit more fruit, oranges and rind throw into the fold as we move on. Initial is medium bodied, a bit lighter with a firm hop presence. Fuzzy peach, firm grapefruit, lemon rind. Some good floral dryness, decent to medium bitterness hits the palate off the bat. Firmer dryness, the malt body is bready, a touch toasty and carmelized. Firm dryness carries on into the middle, a good bitter hop presence provides synergy. But a firm malt bill also offers some balance. Bread, dry earthy hop presence continues to present itself. Backend is much more dry, light bodied. Some soap, florals, decent citrus but it’s definitely not the focus. Finish is dry but not overly so, fairly clean, a gentle Belgian yeast presence and touches of fruit move on. Pretty nice Belgian IPA. Really goes through the motions. Not a hop screamer but integrates it’s hops and what it has quite well. Nice beer. Vir4030 (603) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUN 30, 2013
Pours a cloudy olive amber out of a bottle with a lot of head. Nose is a smoky sweet spicy something. Maybe a bit of belgium. It’s light on it, taste too. Interesting, not bad not good. jjgmd (2150) - Coral Springs, Florida, USA - JUN 23, 2013
Pours a nice dark cooper colored orange with a nice head. Nose is citrus with a predominance of freshly squeezed orange. Taste is fruity with some yeasty notes. Finish is semi dry, clean and ends on the same fruity notes. Not a Belgian fan, but this was a single game changer. Quaff Score 8 / 10 zgaier (1951) - Coral Springs, Florida, USA - JUN 23, 2013
Pours dark orange with a beige head and aroma of citrus, grass, and yeast. Taste is bitter sweet, citrus comes trough with grass and floral notes and the Belgain yeast with a bitter, dry finish. Very drinkable, solid brew fattybladdy (628) - Kalamazoo, Michigan, USA - JUN 21, 2013
16oz can. Pours a light bronze with some sediment and a steady stream of carbonation rising up from the glass. Aroma of yeast and spice. Taste is more muted, with yeast, banana, grassy and a bit sweet. An easy one to kick back but overall just average.

Looking forward to trying some stuff from this brewery! A medium off-white head pours out of the can on top of a copper body. Light scattered lacing left on the glass after each sip. The aroma is citrusy, with wild floral notes; definitely pick up the Belgian yeast. Some pine is burried in the scent as well. The flavors mostly follow that; less citrusy perhaps, and more of a resinous/pine hop flavor combining with the Belgian yeast element. It’s more IPA than Belgian Ale, the yeast just adds a different element without getting in the way, which I like. It has firm bitterness but nothing over the top; nice and dry in the finish. The body is a shade light; at least moreso than expected, but I’d hardly categorize it as thin. I like this. Sometimes the flavors can clash in these Belgian IPAs but this one works quite well. njager246 (697) - grand rapids, Michigan, USA - JUN 2, 2013

Draft at Jerry’s. Amber-gold with nice, foamy, off-white head, decent legs / Sweet, steely, floral nose of spun sugar, violet, banana, resin, citrus / Medium body, soft carbonation, mildly sweet & syrupy, surprisingly dry and hoppy, lightly astringent, and big bitter finish / Stylish, dry flavors of straw, honey, spun sugar, violet, with only notes of banana and citrus / One of those rare cases where the nose doesn’t match the body or flavor, but this dry, pilsner-like Belgian is well suited for the summer. Sample at Brewery Vivant on 3/29/13. Pours clear amber with a thin off-white head. Aroma of malt, earthy hops, pepper and banana. Malty flavor with some sweetness and peppery character before a grassy hop finish.
