Draft at Standard Market, Westmont. $4 in a 10 oz Solemn Oath tulip. My first encounter with Brewery Vivant. Clear IPA style amber/orange color under a foamy head. Citrus and pine hops in the nose. I just assume that a Belgian ale has aromatic malts to it, but this seems more like the satandard English PA malt, crisp, yet sturdy enough to showcase a happy hop profile. Plenty malty as most IPAs go, and that makes a pleasant difference. njager246 (697) - grand rapids, Michigan, USA - JUN 2, 2013
In a can @ brix in sh.. hazy amber...sweet hop aroma.. a fairly sweet ipa...very good! jjgmd (2179) - Coral Springs, Florida, USA - JUN 23, 2013
Pours a nice dark cooper colored orange with a nice head. Nose is citrus with a predominance of freshly squeezed orange. Taste is fruity with some yeasty notes. Finish is semi dry, clean and ends on the same fruity notes. Not a Belgian fan, but this was a single game changer. Quaff Score 8 / 10 SpongeRuiner (1114) - Michigan, USA - DEC 7, 2013
Really nice hop flavor. Very refreshing. With maybe a touch of honey? I really like it. Very drinkable. bpar73 (1133) - Bellaire, Michigan, USA - MAY 3, 2014
Can. Pour a hazy yellow-gold with a quickly dissipating white head. A nice combination of Belgian style fruitiness and a moderate hoppiness in the aroma and taste. Not overlly bitter, nice drinkable IPA.

Taster on tap at HopCat in East Lansing. Perfectly clear golden color. Little off-white head. Good spread of lace. Medium to bigger body. Smooth, crisp, lightly soft carbonation. More dry finish. Good citrus, tropical fruit, light spice, light belgian candy sugar in the aroma. Satisfyingly hoppy. Moderate bitter, light sweet taste. Lightly spicy. Great belgian IPA. Satisfyingly hoppy, with an in-check but present belgian factor. alliance100 (1155) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - MAY 16, 2014
16oz can - pours a darker gold . Big citrus aromas mask a hint of fruity yeast . Nice and bitter up front but finishes with some sweetness . Interesting .

Can poured into nonic pint glass. Great citrus nose and golden color. Has a very well balanced hop profile, with the yeasty Belgian feel that this beer promises. Drinkable. almost to the point of sessionable - despite the 6.5% ABV. Very solid. PhatB420 (840) - Pittsfield, Massachusetts, USA - APR 19, 2015
16oz can into a glass. Pours a clear orange honey amber. Minimal head, fast fading white head. Aroma of orange spice, sour green apple, Belgian spice, with a pleasant fruitiness overall. Good hybrid here, there could be a more vibrant hop punch, but its still solid. Sweet and dry fruit peels, a bouncy hop stature, and a cleansing finish. Bitter aftertaste, smooth transition for more. Solid brew. bigtaster (991) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - AUG 10, 2015
