COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Imperial saison. Our special yeast strain gives this beer a little funkiness and is accented with tellicherry black peppercorns and orange peel. At 9% abv this is probably one of the strongest summer beers you will encounter. The boozy note adds to the overall flavor of this beer. This is the deep end of the fun pool, please use the buddy system.

Tulip glass serving as consumption vessel at the brewery with GLBTQ crew. Unfiltered hazy deep golden color. No head. Nose has a yeasty funk and spicy characteristics. Like a standard saison but amplified. Taste is a continuation of the spicy notes with an orange, slightly syrupy, presence. Peppery elements. Something seems to be missing but I can’t put my finger on what it is. Needs some vibrancy? Impressed by the brewery but not completely loving this one.

16 oz can from notes. Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a small off white head. The aroma and flavor have bready malts, mild funk, citrus fruits, orange zest, peppery spice, decent combination of flavors, just a hint of booze, this one works pretty well.

Poured a golden color with aromas of light funk, peppercorns, some light hay, and a touch of bitter peel. Flavors are the same with some light orange peel, with a decent amount of funk, not over the top, just enough and doesn’t lose those saison qualities.

Pours clear golden with low white head. Aroma of honey, citrus, wheat. Taste is light tart, orange zest and citrus, followed by booze and honey sweet. Body is medium to rich and creamy smooth with soft carbonation.

Can: Nearly clear, golden-yellow with a thin white head. Sweet orange, sticky fruit scent. Taste is sweet. orange malt, mildly peppered...just a touch of alcohol presence....not very funky, but still, pretty tasty.

mansquito (6437) - Nueva York, New York, USA - SEP 30, 2015
Farmhouse, Chicago tap: pours orange with a white head. Aroma is winey with some smells resembling a sour ale and the residue is funk. Taste is a little sweet. Nice and tangy in its own right. A bit on the sweet side for sure. Lingering aftertaste.

Can. Lactic lemon, peppercorn, and bready malt aroma. Medium yellow with small head. Sweet milky lemon, black pepper, and bready malt flavor. Light bitter herbal orange peel finish. Pleasant - strong pepper presence.

Can. Unintentional aging. An interesting sweetness with the age. That nice peppery quality when fresh mellows into an almost barleywine style sweetness with a year or more on it.

Had this from the bar in Whole Foods in Ann Arbor, which is pretty cool feature. Fairly dry finish, high carbonation. Spicy aroma, fruits in the middle.
