Draught. Pours black with a medium, foamy tan head. Aroma is coffee, fudge, dark chocolate, and light roast. Taste is chocolate, roast, some coffee, and light caramel. Some booze peaks through. Dry. Light-medium body. Soft-to-moderate carbonation. Creamy but light mouthfeel. Refreshingly light for an imperial stout, while losing none of the richness on the palate. Very easy drinking.

(Keg) Pours a jet-black beer, with a thin tan head. Big aroma of bitter coffee, dark chocolate, vanilla, banana, caramel, and alcohol. The coffee notes are rather overpowering, and the alcohol is just a little too astringent. Nonetheless, this is a pleasantly dark, roasty beer - rich and smooth, with a medium mouthfeel. Overall, this isn’t too bad, but a bit over-flavoured for my liking.

Shared at the Prairie Everything Dark/Kill Your Liver Extravaganza at Jeff’s House on July 1. 330 mL bottle. The pour is a nice medium black with a thicker light tan head that slowly falls with a light lace left behind. The aroma is full of bitter baker’s chocolate, right in your face. The scorched malts are really bitter as well. This one is interesting. There is a hint of nuttiness and a kiss of vanilla. The flavor just too bitter as well. The malts and chocolate just dominate this baby. The light nuttiness carries and the hint of vanilla definitely doesn’t do anything against the bitterness. I think this would be better with a sweeter chocolate. The mouth feel is medium and carries a softer carbonation. The aftertaste is bitter chocolate and scorched malt. Not my jam here. Needs to be a little sweeter. 6 4 6 4 14

Bottle shared at the Prairie Stout Extravaganza. Aroma is chocolate, roasted malt, noodles, vanilla, decent. Appearance is dark dark brown, poured pretty thick, light tan head. Taste is light roasted malt, light coffee, light chocolate, noodles, strange. Mouthfeel is medium body, light carbonation, light roasted malt aftertaste. Overall, it’s strange.

Black liquid with no head. Aroma is strong cocoa, alcohol. Taste is dry chocolate, malt, alcohol, slight coffee. Little to medium sweetness, light bitterness (IBU 60???). Below average in its class. Not easily drinkable. Too much cocoa.

Flaska från SB som stått ett år. Mjuk rund och ganska snäll och lättdrucken IS med mycket kaffe och choklad. Riktigt gott.

Bottle. Blackish beer with a low tan head. Coffee and light roast aroma. Coffee and rich malt flavor. Medium-plus bodied. Coffee and roast lingers with caramel and rich malt.

TET (3072) - Kaarina, FINLAND - JUN 2, 2017
A black beer, a head is quite small and brown. Aroma has coffee, chocolate and roastiness, some nuts, slightly harsh, maybe hint of sweet vanilla. Taste has coffee, roastiness, sweetness, hint of chocolate. Not complex but otherwise, quite nicely balanced. Full bodied, not stickyness. Tasteful and good beer.

Sympa mais franchement sans plus. Nez assez épicé aux notes de chocolat et poivrons. Bouche assez sucrée, café et caramélisée.
