Milk Chocolate Stout

Malti: Pale, Crystal, Chocolate, Pale Chocolate, Wheat, Oat, Monaco, Vienna
Luppoli: Magnum

Dedicata a coloro che hanno paura delle birre scure. Dolce, complessa, ma beverina. Il lattosio e le fave di cacao la rendono morbida e profumata. Una birra per golosi...

UPDATED: JUN 13, 2013 Bottle from Mi-Orge Mi-Houblon, Arlon, Belgium
Pours pitch black with fine creamy head. Smell is very malty-chocolatey. Starts with sweet chocolate malts with some milk sugar. Middle part is also very sweet malty with some lactose. Goes into a coffee-like malty finish with sweet lactose flavor.

15 CL tasting glass at ’24 uur van maastricht’, dark beer, aroma of chocolate, coffee. Taste was also chocolate and coffee, overall a decent beer.

Cola-like color and appearance, with the foam lasting only for few seconds... Milky aromas and sweetness. Roast malt on taste with a milky aftertaste. Not too sweet. In general I liked it. Only problem is its appearance.

berntholer (1617) - Antwerp, BELGIUM - JUN 3, 2013
light beige head that disappears fast with lacing. coffee coloured beer. aroma is earthy, coffee, toffee and perhaps even something meaty .. or is this .. umami? :) taste is toasted malt, coffee with a short coffee aftertaste. almost no carbonation, rather thin mouthfeel and body. draft @ moeder lambic - italian beerfest

Bottle, 33cl. Online. Aroma: Lactose, smoke, roasted malts, coffee with a bit of hops. Appearance: Black. Brownish head. Taste: Coffee, roasted malts, no chocolate to be tasted really. Palate: Thick and smooth. Hops last a while. Fizzy coffee-carbonation.

Aromat orzecha i prazonego slonecznika. W smaku sporo dawki palonego slodu i kawowo-czekoladowego musu. Kolor czarno-brazowy, gesty i gleboki. Piana srednia ale bardzo szybko opada.

maneliquor (3514) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - MAY 26, 2013
Bottle from Mane Liquor. Pours dark brown with a firm, solid off white head leaving great lacing and staying for the duration. Nose is sweet chocoalte and vanilla. One dimensional but what is there is fine enough. Same in taste. Light chocolate and vanilla. Easy going. Solid stuff

TommyFi (109) - Firenze, ITALY - MAY 20, 2013
Di color nero spento, opalescente con schiuma cremosa. Al naso, e anche in bocca, è di un amaro tostato delicato e sa di cioccolato. Di corpo watery, assomiglia molto ad una mild più che ad una stout.

jookos (6762) - FINLAND - APR 30, 2013
Bottle. Dark brown. Roasty nose, with a bit of chocolate, dark berries and saltyish licorice. But quity dry roasty nose overall. Body lightish. Salt licorice, some coffee, dark fruits. Quite nice actually. Loads of flavours. A bit also of the milkshaky chocolate promised by the label.

NosirIwont (2530) - Frederikssund, DENMARK - APR 28, 2013
Bottle. 5.2%. Best before 30.06.13. Pours a clear dark brown with a big, frothy khaki head. Good lacing. Sweetish, roasted roma with a remote note of coffee and a slightly dusty and tart overtone. Chocolate note as it warms. Further warming brings out a note of dark fruits and berries. Tart, roasted flavour. Remote metallic and cardboard note as it warms. Mildly bitter coffee finish, lingering latté note with a touch of chocolate. Light tart berry note as it warms. Overall okay, the finish is better than the initial flavour, which seems a bit dull. 28.04.13.
