Milk Chocolate Stout

Luppoli: Magnum

Dedicata a coloro che hanno paura delle birre scure. Dolce, complessa, ma beverina. Il lattosio e le fave di cacao la rendono morbida e profumata. Una birra per golosi...

Bottle from Vinmonopolet, Valkendorfgaten, Bergen. Pours amost pitch black with a small head. Aroma of chocolate, liquorice. Taste is smooth liquorice and chocolate, well balanced, high carbonated. Lingering light sweet malty, easy to like this one.

UPDATED: NOV 21, 2017 Bevuta il 21/11/2017 @CircoStabileFratelliMacondo in Oleggio (NO). Alla spina. Nero impenetrabile, bella schiuma beige cremosa e persistente. Al naso tostato e leggero acidulo. In bocca note tostate, caffettose e di cioccolato. Texture leggermente acquosa, ma la cremosità e la persistenza della schiuma la rende vellutata per gran parte della bevuta.

Looks like a cola with a thick, mocha-coloured head. Smells like rich chocolate and lactose. Taste is quite milky with an undertone of chocolate and sour cherries.

33cl bottle at home. Appearance: black with medium mocha head that dissipates quickly. Aroma: chocolate milk, roasted malts, cacao, dairy and a trace of artificial strawberry. Taste: high sweetness and medium bitterness. Notes of chocolate, chocolate milk and roasted malts. Palate: medium bodied, watery texture and medium carbonation.

12 oz. bottle. Nose is roasty and lactic. Flavor leans towards the milk stout to begin. Chocolate, too. Roast is noted but is not big at all. Some citrus and berry, too, that is pleasant and adds nice sweetness and flavors. Bitterness is hardly there. Sweet malty beers are kind of in my wheelhouse so I like this quite a lot.

Bottle. It pours black with a medium beige head. The aroma is roasted with caramel and tobacco notes. Some hoppy and chocolate notes. Ashy and roasted flavor with light chocolate and tobacco notes. Bitter roasted finish.

330ml bottle at the Post Office Vaults, Birmingham. Dark brown, almost black, with a thin, pale mocha head. Sweet coffee and cream on the nose, with an after-scent burnt coffee beans. Immediate flavour hit of grassy coffee with lingering nicotine and coffee that’s just on the wrong side of bitterness. Slight synthetic plastic and strawberry, and unpleasant liquorice.

pivnizub (10813) - Bochum, Porř, GERMANY - JAN 27, 2017
Bottiglia: Almost black with a ruby sheen, small and slowly collapsing tanned creamy head; mainly sweet nose of roasted malt and cacao-powder, traces of hops and leather underneath; moderate and drier bitter-sweet flavour, light to medium bodied; lingering bitter-hoppy and toasty-caramelly finish. Not great, but pleasant and well drinkable...

Roasted notes, coffee, dark brown/black with a good tan head, medium body, law/medium carbonation, to dry for me not so creamy,a bit watery, again coffee and roasted...not bad but i don’t feel any fear.
