Bottle 33cl. Poured into a teku glass. Hazy to cloudy medium golden, nice two finger frothy white head, good retention, light lacing; sourish nose, aroma malts, grain, orange, apple, yeast, spicy notes, farmyard; taste medium sweet and bitter, light sourish undertone, citrus peel bitter, grainy, fruity; dry fruity aftertaste, peppery; medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation; all in all quite good.

Intéressante, pas désagréable. Belle mousse abondante et persistante, nez fruité (poire).

obguthr (6923) - Staunton, Virginia, USA - SEP 27, 2016
Pear nose, with oats underneath. Cloudy amber, thick yellow head. Pear, peach, and lemon zest. Twig finish. Light body, easy carbonation. Basic at first glance, but subtle nuances do make an appearance.

The Etruscan (713) - Tuscany, ITALY - AUG 13, 2016
White foamy full lasting head. Honey orange colour. aroma is malty with fruity (pear, apple and apricot) with light spicy and hoppy notes, slightly yeasty. Flavor is malty too with fruity (pear and apricot) with spicy tones, ending in a moderately spicy finish. Medium bodied.

UPDATED: JUL 28, 2016 Draft at Bru Craft. Hazy gold pour with a quickly dissipating head. Big tropical citrus herbal brew. Pineapple. Meyer lemons. Pear. Lychee. Limes. Plantains. Green grapes. Persimmons. Parsley. Modestly tart. Ultimately feels much more like an IPA than a Saison. The alcohol burns and warms but the finish still reads smooth. That alone is extraordinary. Not a favorite but I appreciate the craftsmanship that went into this.

33cl bottle. Large off-white head atop murky amber body, nice lacing. Aroma is medium sweet, spicy/funk, grapefruit rind, some hay, light lemon. Taste is medium sweet, grapefruit, some spicy, light grapefruit rind. Medium body, some effervescence.

Nevalainen (882) - FINLAND - APR 23, 2016
Hazy golden color with high airy head. Aroma is malty, a little citric, fruity. Taste is medium bitter, a bit sweet also, notes of spicies. Overall a good saison.

biirusaikou (2705) - - APR 14, 2016
Unriped tropical fruit, papaya, lychee, pear, lime sherbet. Pretty much the same on the palate, red spice and floral notes, earthy hoppy finish with a boozy edge. A bit like a super version of Yoho saison, maybe a tad too heavy if not astringent on the finish.

butter14 (18) - Florida, USA - APR 13, 2016
Hints of bread and caramel with some floral notes from the hops. Pours a cloudy amber color with lots of head. Very carbonated. Taste is cloyingly sweet and malty for a Saison, Alcohol is overbearing and hot tasting, some clove notes. Not my favorite Saison.
