Backlog rating. Keg at FOB, Rimini. It pours a dark brown color with a medium tan head. Aroma is roasted malts, coffee, licorice and dark chocolate, overlayed by piny hops note and tropical fruits. Taste is medium bitter roasty and medium sweet fruity. Notes of apricots and mango, pine cones, coffee, dark chocolate and roasted wood. Medium body with good carbonation. Overall, too harsh bitterness to me

Smak: Palone, chmielowe, lekko alkoholowe. Goryczka średnia do wysokiej.
Całość: Fajne, mocne BIPA.

Deep brown color, brown head. Citrus nose, roasted malt, coffee, light fruity, hint of cat urine. Roasted malt taste, chocolate, citrus, resin, espresso, metallic note, moderate bitterness. Medium body, soft to average carbonation, oily texture.

Bottle @ home. Pours nalmost black with a small biege head. Aromas of oranges, pears, yeast, pine needles, caramel. Lighly roasted notes and coffee. Medium bodied and dry taste. Flavor is mutch more roasted than the aroma with even astringent sourness from the roasted malts, something i do not wish to find in a bipa. also notes of coffee, oranges, licorice, caramel, pine apple and spices.. Assertive and lasting bitterness.

Hopmaestro (1654) - Örebro, SWEDEN - NOV 11, 2014
The smell is "dark" upfront with roasted aromas flowing up your nostrils. The taste on the other hand, offers flowery summer freshness and a sweet liquorice effect before turning into a more sinister aftertaste with a slightly burnt bitterness. The bitterness doesn’t hang around forever though, which gives this one a couple of more points on the drinkability. A really good Black IPA!

Aroma: Smelling of bread, apple, pine and yeast.
Appearance: A dark black colored beer. A tan head with some lacing and good curtains.
Taste: Tasting bread, dates, pine and grape-fruit peel.
Palate: Medium carbonation, a soft texture. A medium body with a dry finish.
Overall: Smooth, balanced, but no adventure.
Note: Bottle 330 ml at home. Reviewed 2014-11-09.

330 ml bottle at home. Black with tan head. Aroma is hoppy, plums, apricots, roasted malt, very well balanced. Taste is nicely balanced, hoppy, fruits, coffee, dark chocolate and lots of hops. Very nice
