UPDATED: NOV 8, 2014 330ml bottle (Tolly, Tartu) (6:5:7:4:14=3.6)
Black, small tan head, just great! Pleasant roasty aroma, some hops too, but roasty primarily. Lovely full palate Some nice almost marmitey roast. Nice rich roast, definitely a hoppy dark beer rather than a dark hoppy beer. Finish has bitter deep roast, again, almost marmitey. Alcohol completely covered. Finish has a slight bitter tingle from both burntness and hops. Great stout.
Keg (Pudel, Tallinn) (6+:4+:6-:3:12=3.1+)
Bucketloads of floral honey in the aroma, some sweet mashiness too. Took forever to pour, was a frothy fizzfest. But it kept its tan head atop the jet black body. Very mashy taste, raw, husky and nutty. If this was an unfiltered lager I’d be overjoyed by this level of graininess, but it’s out of place here. Some strange orange juice in the taste and finish. Palate was very fizzy, needed to swirl it a lot before it was vaguely drinkable. Finish does leave me with some more of the honey. Shame, that was a nice aspect, the rest of the beer spoilt it.

Bottle at home. The colour is black with a medium, light brown head. Has a sweet and roasted aroma with chocolate, coffee, pine, grapefruit and fruity hops in the background. The flavour is fruity at first with lots of tropical fruits, pine and grapefruit, and then fades into roasted malt and tones of coffee beans. Has a slick and rich mouth feel, and a medium bitterness. A well-balanced, a bit sweet and nice BIPA. Solid bitterness as well.

Flaska. Svart öl med ett givmilt moccafärgat skum. Doftar lakrits, rostad malt, kaffe och alkohol. Smakinslag av lakrits, kaffe, mörk choklad, citrus och rostad malt. Medel mot stor kropp. Beskan framträder framför allt i eftersmaken. Mjuk munkänsla. Alkoholen, som är rätt framträdande i doften, anas mest i smaken.

33cl bottle @ home from De Molen. Nearly black body, very big beige creamy fully lasting excellent lacing head. Nose is roasted malt, Aroma is more roasted malt, dark chocolate, coffee, licorice, soy sauce, good balance, alcohol is slightly noticable, hops is not dominant. Taste heavy roasty bitterness, whiff of salt. Full body, creamy texture, soft carbonation, long lasting roasty bitter finish. Great dessert beer, too bad that alcohol is noticable and not too hoppy, feels rather like a porter than a black IPA, but still delicious.
