Bottle. Appearance is almost black, a huge foamy beige head which hangs around. Aroma is big roasty malt, chocolate, milky coffee, fruity hints. Taste- big coffee and chocolate, lots of espresso bitterness, bitter clingy chocolatey finish, malty backbone, hint of burnt toast, smooth and a bit oily in the mouth. Very tasty indeed. a bit of a let down.. aroma was mediocre, taste was a bit boring. everything was ok, which was nothing I expected - an Imperial Stout ought to have more character than that. not bad, however, it was nice - I just want Imperials to be mighty, full of character, extreme - nothing was found here.
