COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed with barley from Canada and the UK this west coast style IPA finds a balance between a solid malt backbone and rich hop character. Generous additions of Centennial and Amarillo hops in the kettle and further dry hopping with Cascade lend an intensely hoppy flavour that will make a light beer drinker beg for mercy!

greenhorn1 (850) - Mission Viejo, California, USA - FEB 14, 2015
On draft at Brewhouse. Pours a bit darker than most ipaís. Floral, pine and subtle hints of citrus. I actually didnít mind this IPA, I think better than the 71 rating.

Oakes (17274) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - FEB 7, 2015
Golden-amber, berryish amarillo nose...very Dix IPA. Taste is sweet and bitter, clean and fruity taste with lots of bitterness. Not as sticky as Dix IPA.

3.4
mcberko (17178) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - FEB 1, 2015
On cask at Yaletown, pours a cloudy orange amber with a small white head. Nose brings out lots of oranges, resinous hops, and candied sugar. Flavour is well-balanced, with notes of resinous hops, caramel sweetness and candied sugar quality. Well-balanced, not too sweet but malty. Good.

3.4
Lagerboy (2189) - British Columbia, CANADA - APR 11, 2014
Tasting Flight at The Brewhouse, Sample # 4: Clear orange, off-white foam settles and rings. Hoppy floral citrus hop aroma. Surprisingly malty, caramel, herbal citrus hop taste, faint evergreen. Average carbonation, medium bodied, well hopped. NFL (Not For Lagerboys) ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at the Brewhouse. Hazy orange, thin head. Aroma of citrus hops - nice. Bready malts in the taste, citrus hops, and grains. Smooth mouthfeel. Nice IPA.

3.4
toffsbury (118) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 10, 2013
Fruity orange aroma with some maltiness. Too much bitter on the front, hard to taste the malt. Looks good, mouthfeel is pleasantly full. OK.

3.2
Gerbeer (3698) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAR 23, 2013
On tap. Pours a very murky yellow brown with light head. Aromas of grapefruit and toffee. Strong grapefruit flavour with brown sugar, malts, pine, and bitter orange.

3.6
phaleslu (10100) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - OCT 22, 2012
Draft at the brewpub. Pours a hazy deep burnt orange color with a small off-white head that leaves some inconsistent lace. Aroma of grapefruit, tropical fruits, caramel malts, pine, and tea. Flavor of bitter grapefruity, resinous hops, caramel malts, pine tar, and a woody, boozy note. Medium-bodied, with moderate carbonation and a resinous, bitter mouthfeel that lingers. Has some kick but mostly worked for me.
