COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Ambrewsia is our take on an American India pale ale. This beer is made to have minimal malt character to allow for full focus on the hops. Five hop varieties are added to create an aggressive bitterness (80 IBUs) along with floral and citrus aromas. 7% ABV

A good IPA with a somewhat narrow hop flavor profile. Its called a double, but the ABV is only 7.7%. The big bitterness is enjoyable, but a bit unbalanced.

Great to see that Brewmaster Jack is canning Ambrewsia. Solid citrusy IPA that hasnt received much publicity probably because, to the best of my knowledge, only packaged previously in 22 oz. bottles. Quite bitter but not unusually so for an IPA. On balance, Id consider it among the better IPAs produced by small New England craft brewers and hope it will eventually be distributed more widely.

From notes. Tasting at CBC. Pours orange gold with an off white head. Aroma is orange, grapefruit. Flavor follows. A nice juicy IPA with orange and grapefruit notes. Grapefruit bitterness in the finish.

Very strong IPA with an orange color. No head on the pour. Very bitter like a very strong grapefruit. Not super great.

Poured from a bottle into a tulip: Pours amber with a one finger head. Aroma of citrus fruit, tropical notes, caramel, and dry leaves. Mildly sweet on the first taste with a wave of papaya and grapefruit, finishes nicely with a solid hop bitterness. Well balanced, really nice IPA. Ill certainly buy more of it.

This is underrated, perhaps criminally, here. Very strong IPA with nice citrus and juice-like qualities. This provides almost everything you would want without waiting in long lines at various other NE IPA providers...

Pours a slightly hazy amber from a bottle, thick white head with lots of lacing. Aroma of pine, lemon, but not pine-sol-y. Flavor similar, with some nice sweet caramel malt backbone lingering in the background. Not terribly boozy, current batch is only 7.0% according to the bottle, not the 7.7% listed. Good beer though.

A pine and citrus aroma. Head is crazy so far. Hazy burnt orange body. Bitter with a bold malt to balance it well. Hint of caramel sweetness. Finish was flat though.

Bottle from Charles Street Liquors. Peachy candy aroma. Tasty strawberry peach taste with a bitter finish. Great!

Very good for what it is. I am not typically inclined to Ambers but this jas a VERY piney taste to the palate. Is there such a thing as an Imperial Amber? This would fit the bill np, Imp Ipa, just not sure
