Pours deep mahogany into a snifter. Tan head with medium retention recedes to hug rim. Vanilla, oak and whiskey aromas. Thin with vanilla, oak and bourbon front to back. Medium length hot caramel and toasted sourdough finish. Tasty as a whiskey beer, but not a lot of quad in there.

Very dark with a small head. Aroma is huge bourbon, vanilla, nuts, slight hint of dark fruits, figs. Warming palate, full bodied, slick texture with a nice long finish of warming bourbon. Nice drinkability for a big beer, really awesome.

Bit a a boozed lead on the flavor but tasty mild sweet notes. Strong and powerful. Paired with crispy prosciutto and baked Brie bites.

A decent whiskey, err, beer. Pours a muddy red-brown with little head. Smells of whiskey, dark fruit and port. Taste is the same, lots and lots of whiskey, with a bit of cherry and plum, and port in the finish. Paired with crispy prosciutto and Brie bites, it cuts the whiskey, and brings in more dark fruit. Good pairing. Had in the bottle.

Sampled at Julio’s Mass Brewers Fest and brought a couple bottles home. Poured into a snifter. Dark, dark brown, almost black pour with burgundy edges when held up to the light. Thin tan head with no lace. Dark fruits on the aroma as well as brown sugar, old wood and whiskey. Sweet flavor! Mostly the same deScriptors as in the aroma. Full bodied and gut warming. I really enjoyed this!

Bottle from Colonial Spirits. Somewhat hazy dark brown with ruby highlights. Could have been my pour though. Frothy tan head shows great retention. Brown sugar, dark fruit, hints of chocolate with a touch of vanilla bourbon and wood. Wow thats a pretty nice sipper right there. Clean smooth well made fruity quad.

12oz bottle pours a dark brown color with a bit of head. Huge whiskey aroma and flavor, though smooth. The quad base is overpowered a little.

12 oz. bottle shared by Chalumeaux, much thanks! Deep brown / garnet color with very thin head in the snifter. Nose has lots of pitted fruits. Black cherry, red grapes, plums. Just the faintest hint of whiskey after the fruits. The flavor is mostly the same as the aroma, alcohol is almost completely hidden with just a touch of warmth after the swallow. Whiskey barrel treatment is mild but still noticeable. Mouthfeel is chewy and shows a molasses sticky sweetness, lots of malt. You have to really like Belgian Quads to appreciate this brew. I enjoy the style and would have preferred to hold this just a tad longer but I am happy, T. J. shared this with me. Enjoyable.

Poured from bottle deep brown with a murky tan head. Aromas of toffee caramel oak and whiskey. Taste is sweet fig vanilla oak and whiskey. Could use a few months of cellaring.

12oz bottle pours a murky, deep brown with some ringing, white head. Nose has candy, vanilla, booze, some raisin, a little rum, nougat. Flavor has a ton of vanilla, caramel, fig, nougat. Full bodied and sweet but not cloying. Not for everyone maybe, but I liked this a lot.
