Orangey-brown, fairly bright but quite fizzy. Smells tart...ack. Doesn’t taste it...good malts, subtle sugars, earthiness and a little toast. Decent stuff, would love to see it in cask.

Think this is one of the only ones they do in a 500ml now. A decent beer which I have had from my local in a pint and from bottle. It has a berry initial taste which develops into a smokey wood. Nice natural carbonation on this one. I far prefer Brewmeister’s non-gimmick beers

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from Strachan’s, Aboyne. It pours clear deep amber, with a medium yellow-white head. The nose is red berry, wood, leather, hay, faint spice and a touch of caramel. The taste is wood, leather, grass, red berry, jam, tangy dark fruit, almost vinous and some bitterness, with a long dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Flavoursome, well-balanced and surprisingly complex for the style. An impressive start for this brewery.
