Draft @ Brewpub. Pours a clear amber color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty spicy yeasty aroma. Fruity malty yeasty flavor with some spicy hints. Has a fruity malty spicy finish with some yeasty hints. yngwie (17078) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - JUL 15, 2009
On tap at the brewpub. It looks clear, might be some chillhaze, reddish brown in color, and topped by a dense, beige head, finger-thick and leaving lacings. Slightly roasted nose with a little dried fruits and chocolate. A faint note of dms too. The flavor has a nice roasted note initially, then dried fruits, fresh fruits and a little licorice comes through. Alcohol, roasted malts and roasted bitterness in the finish. Dry and smooth mouthfeel. Overall, a bit on the roasted side for a dubbel, but quite nice anyway. (090518) Rune (13006) - Tromsø, NORWAY - JUN 1, 2009
250ml on tap, served chilled at the brewpub. Initial huge, off-white head, quickly reduced to a few floaters. Opaque, dark brown body. Smell of sweet dark malts. Roasted dark malts in the taste character bringing notes of both caramel and chocolate. Yeasty bitterness to the finish. On the sweet side of bittersweet.
