(Bottle) Pours dark red. Hoppy and light malty aroma with notes of syrup, caramel, nuts, resin, pine, pear, tangerine, apricot and some light floral hints. Some doughy yeast tones. Light malty and medium hoppy flavour with notes of light grapefruit, pine and some subtle fruits. Dry and medium bitter with a light fruity aftertaste. Medium body. More complex than fantastic.

500. Thanks, Maria! Pours a gorgeous hazy medium amber with a towering, sudsy white head. Plenty of lace. Nice modest grassy nose. Medium body, active carb, plenty of grass and light caramel notes on the mid-palate. Probably a little bit closer to an ESB by the standards of bold flavors in the Pacific Northwest, but a very tasty beer.

Amber colour - very nice. the head is good lasting - not like a belgium beer, but still good. The aroma is hoppy and so is the flavor.

UPDATED: NOV 9, 2007 Bottle. Hazy ruby amber, medium fluffy off-white head. Fruity and caramelly malt aroma with peaches and mandarin, but unfortunately also with some potatoe and cauliflower notes. Further there are piney and spicy hops. Medium bodied and smooth. Good balance with a light sweetness and a firm bitterness.

Had expected more, more hops and grapes. An ok IPA, but it’s dry in the mouthfeel in combination with some kind of caramel, toffee and as other mentions one-dimensionel!
