The foam is nice tan, but unfortunately very limited. It is served nice temperate and has a great aroma of mocha, caramel, smoke and English licorice.
The taste is dominated by hard roasted malt, caramel in large volumes and strong mocha. Palate is a variation of English liquorice and slightly bitter dark chocolate. Vollmundiger Malzantrunk, nicht sehr wŁrzig, kaum sŁŖ, alleinstehend. Etwas rŲstig werdend, ausgewogen und harmonisch, schokoladig werdend. Das Malz nimmt besonders in der WŁrze weiter zu, der lange Abgang ist leicht bitter. Etwas hopfig, angenehm und passend. 13/12/11/12//11

KÝbenhavn. Quite much pitch black colour, small brown head. Aroma is roasted malts, toffee, caramel, mild earth, some wood and mild notes of alcohol. Flavour is liquorice, toffee, roasted malts, some alcohol and mild fruityness. Pleasantly balanced, and the alcohol is not coming through all too strong.
Smaple. Dark brown with small tan head. Flavour is roasted malt, coffee, chocolate, bitter and hops.

(Old BA rate - tap) Pours with a generous two-finger darker tan head; jet black color that has clear ruby hints around the edges; some residual lacing, but not a lot.
Roasted maltiness is the first thing that jumps out in terms of the aroma; a faint hint of smoke; some bittersweet chocolate; not getting any coffee (not that itís a coffee infused stout). Pretty solid. Flavor is also quite good; roasty; richly bitter coffee comes through; really not getting any sweetness which is great IMO; dry and roasty is the game here. Some warming alcohol and a medium MF overall with a livelier carbonation level. Great after dinner or sipping brew. Almost a little too easy to quaff for the weight. Best brew I had at that the brewpub.

Black color; creamy head. Aroma of roasted malt and coffee at first, barley coffee, then light aroma of cheese rind. Good body structure, with a lean mouthfeel; mild roasted malt flavor, with some liquorice presence. Correct bitterness, in a coffeish ending. Ordinary.

Roasted malt and hints of coffee in aroma.
Dark dry hops, hints of coffee, roasted malt and alcohol in flavour.

Tap at valhal, special edition might be a new entry? was with Danish harvested northdown, as far as i remember from a a chat with the brewer, small changes to other pieces of the recipe too (note:one of the malts, peat instead of "bÝg"?).
Dark brown, smooth light brown head.
roasted grains, licorice in the aroma, which was a little faint.
flavor is sweet, roasted grains, sweet licirice, faint smoked note, ends boozy, bitter and roasted. typical english stout,a bit stronger alc. strength, but not much flavor to show for it. however alc was well hidden, except for a short hint in the aftertaste.
