Draught. Burnt plastic aroma. Clear dark brown colour. No head whatsoever. Tastes like burnt plastic too, only with some bitterness. I guess this was off.

[Draught at Københavnske Øldage] Clear brownish amber, creamy head. Sweet and lightly roasty with medium body. As the hop rate is low, roasty malt dominate the flavours. Licoricelike finish with medium bitterness.

duff (5486) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - MAY 3, 2006
[email protected] København. Sweetish, with a light nuttyness and touches of caramel and chocolate. Finishes quite dry and quite hoppy for a brown ale, easy to drink, not bad.

On tap at the Brewpub. Dark reddish brown colour with a nice white laces head. Nice aroma of liquirice and hops. Flavour of light roastedness combined with a hoppy and bitter finish.

Draught at the brewpub.
Brownred colored, off-white head. Sweet caramelly and chocolaty aroma, notes of brown sugar and tobacco - nice! Flavor is sweet and candied roasted with caramel and a light bitterness. Has a sour hint from the malt as well. A nice brown ale.

Papsoe (25054) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - FEB 26, 2006
(On tap) Very beautiful clear mahogany with a warm, reddish glow. Handsome, creamy, beige head with excellent retention, finally settling cappuchinoish on top of the beer while leaving a neat lacework. Spicy, hoppy nose. Medium body with marked notes of hard roasted malt leaving a slightly burned edge. Lightly hoppy finish. A very delicate and refined Brown Ale - American style. 250206
