BF 2011. Reddish amber colour, small slightly off-white head. Aroma is leathery, mild nectar, some syrup as well as wooden. Flavour is leathery, fruity, mild floral and grassy notes as well. A bit too sweet, and the leathery notes are also a bit strange.
Draught at Københavnske Øldage 2011. Clear mahogany colour. Light spicy ha yaroma. Syrupy and sticky. Very sweet with full body. Some pears and caramel, lots and lots of syrup. Dull sugary finish. Exceptionally low drinkability, yet not much to enjoy. Papsoe (25063) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - MAY 22, 2011
On tap. Beautiful clear nutty brown with a small beige head. Thick nutty aroma with plenty of burned caramel. Quite full-bodied, sweet caramel and nutty notes with a distinct edge of smoke and ashes. Distinctly bitter finish but doesn’t really feel 140 IBU though. More like an Imperial Brown Ale actually. 210511 rlgk (18850) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - JUN 2, 2011
Copenhagen Beer Festival 2011. Amber beer, beige head. Fruity butterscoth aroma, malty, hoppy, grassy. Hooppy bready flavor, toffe and alcohol. Not really an IPA in my book. yngwie (17053) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - SEP 28, 2011
On tap at Ølfestival 2011. A clear one, dark amber in color and with a dense, medium sized, beige head. Strawberry jam, sugar and some peaches on the nose, definitely not my idea of a DIPA aroma. The flavor is a tad better, with sweet maltyness as a base, and fruityness and berries up front. Not very DIPA-ish, but not borderline bad either. Lacking on bitterness all the way. Medium body, rather sticky. Well, not my idea of a DIPA, wonder if it’s supposed to be like this. And, you don’t use EKG as The hop for a DIPA. 110526
