Creamy durable foam. Lovely aroma with distinct caramel / toffee. The taste is beautiful balanced with hard roasted malt, a little smoke and nuts and a little burnt character with gentle hop bitterness. A really nice brown ale. larsga (7509) - Oslo, NORWAY - APR 6, 2014
Big lasting brown head. Hazy deep brownish red body. Roasty earthy chocolate aroma with vinegary notes. Dry-sweet earthy chocolatey taste with funky roasty notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft mouthfeel. Dryish earthy chocolate aftertaste with fruity wooden cocoa notes. Nice and drinkable, except for the hint of vinegar. 250ml, 5 % abv, draught at the brewpub. Close to clear, dark ruby body with reddish highlights. Ring of bubbly foam to the rim of the surface. Aroma of fruity caramel. Malty taste of nuts, earth and caramel followed by a rounded, bittersweet tail. Soft in the mouth. Satisfying (Copenhagen, 21.03.2013). AdamChandler (4977) - Enfield, New Hampshire, USA - MAR 5, 2013
Mahogany brown no head
Twizzlers and candied sugar
Very sweet. German maltiness and finish. It’s a nice beer but quite sweet. There’s this maple taste at the finish

Draught at the brewpub. Amber/mahogany beer with a decent offwhite head. Roasted caramel aroma, chocolate, citrus, grapes, cocoa notes, some bitter hops. Hoppy flavor at first, then turning malty, biscuits, roasted, citrus, caramel, hay, chocolate, some toffee notes. A bit simple but still drinkable.
