Draught @ Brewpub. [Shared with thewolf]For some unknown reason, the waiter did not think that I needed to taste the cask version…..hmmm. Light creamy off-white head that mostly lasted. Body was cloudy with an amber hue. Aroma was light smoke, fruit, toasted, vanilla. Light to medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Flavor was light bitter with some sweetness. Slightly bitter and dry finish. Ungstrup (37284) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - MAR 28, 2007
Cask. A dark amber beer with a slight haze under a lazing orange head. The aroma is light with notes of malt, caramel, and berries. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of caramel, brown sugar, and a mixture of fruits and berries, on a complex malt back ground, leading to a slightly bitter end with the faintest hints of chocolate. thewolf (12534) - Kolding, DENMARK - MAR 27, 2007
Cask. Reddish amber with a big soapy off white head - it stays for a while popping big bubbles from time to time. Aroma is weak, some doughy maltyness, a bit of vanilla and ginger. Very low carbonation and pretty watery. First flavours are limited, then vanilla breaks through. Thinner than the tap version, but more vanilla and hoppyness in the aftertaste.
Tap. Reddish amber with a good creamy off white head. Aroma has a dough-like quality, a touch of vanilla and a weak hoppyness. Low carbonation and a touch thin. Dry taste, lightly bitter with some vanilla in the aftertaste. Theis (15152) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - MAR 26, 2007
Cask at the brewpub. Deep red - big fluffy offwhite head. Looks like the soapfoan from "doing the dishes" - even the way the bubbles pop !! High malty, berries, ryebread, light vanilla, light licorice, light bitterness, some grass, low carbonation. Good taste.
