Very pale blond with a light yellow / green hue. Aroma and flavour have a massive amount of citric lime. It's really sharp and tangy. Fairly decent body for a Berliner Weisse.

20-01-2018; bottle; drank in Voss, Norway (bought at Saveur Bière, as part of their Januari 2018 discovery box).
The looks of the beer are fine...not very special, but most Berliner Weisse beers don't look to special. The beer is very pale. The color is very light yellow with a green lime hint. The beer has a lovely haze. On top some rough white foam is formed. Foam retention is very low. A thin rough drape is left. So, not to special but style specific looks.
The smell of the beer is lovely! It is just what I expected. There are some sweet gentle malts, toped by insanely crisp fruit aromas and yeast sours. I smell lime, lime, some lime, bit also lovely green apples and some floral notes. The yeast gives a delicious insanely crisp sour note. It is that lovely strong sourness that a Berliner Weisse should have. I love it, but if you're not into sour beers it'll probably make you puke. It is a smell but also taste you should get used to.
The taste of the beer is also really nice. Just what I was looking for. A pity Berliner Weisse isn't a popular style in The Netherlands. The taste has some nice sweet malts, but also sweet floral notes and a touch of sour apple, that also has a sweet note. Hop gives a delicate bitterness, and a pure hop flavour. All is finished by loads and loads of fresh crisp sour lime and those lovely sour Berliner Weisse yeast touches. I really like this. Even though it is very sour, it is perfectly balanced.
The palate of the beer is nice. Nice light body, sticky sourness and medium carbonation. The finish is very nice. It has an almost astringent sourness, but it is so delicious. There are some nice lime and slight hop flavours in there to, to really give the finish that fruity citrus kick. All in all, a lovely beer. Even better than I expected from a Berliner Weisse. fadosolrela (26) - - JAN 18, 2018
UPDATED: JAN 18, 2018 Belle couleur jaune, claire, jolie mousse blanche qui ne s’estompe pas. Arôme citronné et goût de citron hyper acide. Ma femme aime bien, pour moi, elle est imbuvable, littéralement. N21 (1) - Paris, FRANCE - JAN 4, 2018 does not count
