Cask at the Shakespeare’s Head, JDW, London. Pours rich ruby with a tight, off-white cream head. Sugary malt nose, some ripe berries, strawberries. Medium sweet flavor, lightly toasted bready malts, hints of caramel, light leafy bitterness, ripe berries. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Sweet, bready malt finish, toffee and sugary berries and other fruits. A pretty simple ESB. SarkyNorthener (4623) - West Bromwich (Yorkshire Expat), West Midlands, ENGLAND - JAN 10, 2013

, wolverhampton. Dark ruby beer with a good head and lacing. Aroma of sweet malts. Taste is toffee, dark fruits and dry malts. A nice beer but as mentioned can be a bit sticky on the palate.
Cask in the market porter. Alround rating: Fruity sweet rich malts, bittersweet finish, its drinkable enough buit perhaps not my scene. hughie (3996) - Bedford, Bedfordshire, ENGLAND - MAR 22, 2009
Cask, gravity, at St Neots BF ’09 (’Booze on the Ouse’). Dark reddish brown. Delightful leathery malt aroma. Very sweet sugary taste tending to cloy. Slight dryness which seemed to intensify. Wasn’t sure about this one at first, but it grew on me. JK54B (1602) - Helsinki, FINLAND - JUN 3, 2008
Cask RA. Dark brown colour. A well balanced beer. Dark fruits and caramel in the taste. Also some maltiness. A beer I liked.

Cask, Melton Fest 07. Deep red brown with no head. Aromas are weetabix and chocolate malts. Quite vinous with slightly earthy, smoky notes. Flavours are malty and rich and quite dry. Vinous fruiit with plain chocolate bitterness. Good. stoutfellow2 (20) - Peterborough, ENGLAND - SEP 16, 2007
Cask Mill, Cambridge. Disappointing vinegary mess. I think the pub must take the blame for this. Will re-rate when I find a better one SilkTork (5738) - Southampton, United Kingdom, Hampshire, ENGLAND - APR 3, 2006

Cask (gravity dispense) at White Cliffs Beer Festival, February 2006. Reddish copper colour. Quite dry. Flavours are mainly dry malt with some caramel, berry fruit and a smattering of earthy hop. Quite nice balance. Solid stuff but nothing really distinctive here.
