COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
It all started on October 12, 1810 with the wedding of Bavarian crown prince Ludwig (later King Ludwig I) and Princess Therese. The whole city of Munich partied for a full 5 days (the official part). Maybe it was the beer that was specially brewed for the occasion that saw the celebration repeated each fall since then. Our own brewmaster recreated this authentic beer so that we can all join in the celebration. Thank you, Ludwig and Therese and zum Wohl!

Aroma is toasted bread, honey, citrus and tart. Some sulphur on the tip. Taste is sweet light malts with caramel, honey, citrus, lemon grass and light earthiness. Pretty well balanced with some fresh citrus flavors and a light tartiness. Appearance is a clear gold with a medium pearl head that retains fairly well.

Appearance: clear pale amber, one finger of fluffy light tan head, excellent retention and moderate lacing. (4/5) Aroma: caramel and toasty malts, floral and earthy, nutty. (6/10) Taste: moderate sweet, mild bitter. (6/10) Medium body, moderate carbonation, medium duration finish. (3/5) Yeah, yeah, I know - it’s November and I’m still drinking Octoberfests. Considering I was greeted by snow at 0500 this morning, it’s definitely the beginning of the end for autumn. Decent example of the style, if a little simplistic. (13/20)

Rating #1259 - 30.09.2014 - On tap @revolutionyeg. Clear golden coloured pour with a bubbly white head. Aroma has a hint of malty sweetness, and a bold earthy hop aroma. Medium carbonation. Bubbly, dry mouthfeel, medium-bodied. Light bitterness in the finish, quite smooth. Excellent brew.

Cask version at oktoberfest... Grainy, malty Aroma with a nice caramel and melanoidins base. Taste is the same with rich malt flavors and very smooth finish... What oktoberfest is all about!

Thanks to presario for this. I forgot about this one at the back of my cellar and I think it’s past it’s prime. Pours a dark reddish amber with a big frothy white head. Aroma is malt, spice maybe nutmeg. Taste has a sting to it. Not sure if it’s the age but there is a bite that is a tad spicy and a little sulphurous. I’m guessing not intended. Other than that, the malt is still very well represented.

Pint on tap at Oliver Square location in Edmonton. Poured a deep amber color with a small white head and some spots of lace. Aroma of roasted malts and some floral hops. Taste is roasted malty sweetness and a mild hop bitterness in the finish. Overall, I truly enjoy a pin of this beer every fall at Brewsters.
