Cask at the Geldart, Cambridge. Mid-golden with a loose white head. Very little aroma at first; further sniffing reveals some passionfruit and banana esters. A pronounced bitterness crashes the tropical fruity sweetness party. This beer has a nice balance, even as the bitterness overtakes completely in the long finish. Light notes of banana, cantaloupe and marshmallow offset the intensity in the aftertaste. Flawed but interests nonetheless. There’s a fair bit of character once you scratch the surface. tombyars (1702) - Saltcoats, SCOTLAND - SEP 14, 2016
Tasted this in the Salt Cot, Saltcoats (JDW) on the 27th August 2016. Cask, handpump dispense. Opaque straw in colour with a thin white head. Thin malty aroma with light elderflower notes. Thin resiny mouthfeel and good lacing. Pale malt gives a light biscuit base with tart sweet tangerine fruit. Floral dusty hops gives a clean citrus bite to the bitter aftertaste. Finish is balanced with malt just edging it with dry elements of citrus peel coming through in the mouth. A standard Golden Ale. The_Osprey (7984) - Richmond, Greater London, ENGLAND - AUG 19, 2016
Cask HP at The Crosse Keys Bishopsgate as Brewsters Rutterkin. Golden orange, still, clear, foamy off white head. Aroma is mango and soft cheese, soap. Body is smooth, low carbonation. Taste is light malt sugars, tangerine, straw, faintly tangy with a soft resinous astringency. Overall, it’s an ok golden ale. Biroholik (1374) - Sosnowiec, Poland, POLAND - AUG 8, 2016
