3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pint at Iliver Square. Brassy pour, clear, smalll white head. Nose has caramel and light fruitiness. Taste has caramel, grain, light piney hops. Finishes with grain and light bitterness. Medium body and average mouthfeel. Decent.
Appearance was a medium amber hue with unexpectedly creamy head. Tasted like a solid lager with just a hint of fruitiness. Overall, a pretty decent not-so-light lager! maley1 (1273) - Calgary, CANADA - SEP 3, 2012
Beautiful clear dark amber pour with small off white head. Aroma of malts, caramel and grain. Taste of malts, caramel, slight hop finish and grainy undertones. Not overly sweet but the the caramel became a little cloying and one pint was enough. patricks110 (2496) - Alberta, CANADA - NOV 6, 2011
Also had this one at the Camra Fest in June 2011. The pour is a dark amber body with a two finger thick white head. the nose is sweet with a nice grainy caramel malt and light citrus fruit. Beautiful taste with a light hop bitterness and a nice grainy and caramel malted middle. Slighyl nutty taste with toast and biscuit. Medium to full bodied and a great C.C. brew. Way to go Brewsters. reebtogi (6277) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - AUG 17, 2011
Pint on tap at Oliver Square location in Edmonton. Pour was deep amber color with small white head and thin lacing. Aromas of cereal and floral hops. Taste is lightly sweet, with some citrus and a light hoppy finish. Right up there with Anchor Steam beer for the style. I enjoyed this beer enough to have another pint.

Tap. Very dark amber. Arrived without foam. Quiet scent. A fair bit of residual sugar in the taste. Some warm spice coming through. Reminds me of kellerbier, steam and brown sugar. Cirrhosis (1283) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - JUL 8, 2011
So many new beers to try here, I just can’t figure out how such a small brewery can put out 9 new beers a week and not sacrifice quality……………………………………………………………. Ok I guess my sarcasm there was not called for because it seems this one is actually pretty good. Dark amber with a nice white crown complete with great sticky lacing. Aroma is nice and sweet and balanced with a citrusy hop, lots of quality bread, and hints of coffee all show up. Nice roasted malt flavor, brew never gets to sweet, great hop profile, lemon, flowers. Other stuff that has flavors with names. I don’t taste Wombat chins like other reviewers seem to talk about. Good beer very clean and easy to drink. Extra points because I’m enjoying this so much. Dark amber and clear, thick white cap with speckles. Sweet aroma of caramel and light grains, maybe lemon, wombat chins, fragrant fruits. The taste is really good with a light fading bitterness. Creamy and perfect bitterness, spritzy spice, roast, earth, nut shell?, random fruit. Finishes clean. Yummo
