On draft at Brewzzi Boca. Pours a dark porter brown with a white head. Nose is big chocolate with some coffee, prominent dark fruit, and caramel, and roasted malts. Flavor is similar with roasted malts, dark chocolate, big dark fruit, slight coffee, and and some caramel. Medium in body and lingering dark fruit in the finish. Interesting, and mildly noticeable alcohol as well. BeerFanDan17 (1121) - Brunswick, Maine, USA - MAR 6, 2011
Sampled at the Florida Brewers Guild Beerfest, March ’11. Solid porter with good hop balance and sweet finish. Ibrew2or3 (8660) - Tempe, Arizona, USA - MAR 8, 2009
On tap at the Florida Brewers Guild BeerFest 2009. Pours very dark and nearly black with a nice mocha head that maintains a ring of brown foam against the inside radius of the glass. The aroma has some roasty malts, chocolate malts and then what seems like Belgian candi sugar and black licorice. In between those aromatic notes I also get persistent dark fruity esters. The taste begins sweet and then moving modestly roasty with chocolate malts and a touch of black licorice. By midway a solid layer of dark fruity esters surface at near equal strength as the roasted and chocolate malts. The fruity esters are full of raisins, plums and ripe cherries that take the taste to the finish to meet up with a pleasing level of dark chocolate creating a moderately sweet finish. sebletitje (10093) - Enghien, BELGIUM - MAR 7, 2009
Pours dark brown with off-white head.
Aroma of roasted malts.
Taste, roasted malts, caramel strong emphasis on licorice, giving the beer a very Belgina cnadi like palate followed by a light roasted malt finish. Some dark fruits are laso to be noticed. Overall an excellent beer, not sure if it is that close to the Imp Porter style.

Dark brown with a nice head. Light aroma has coffee and chocolate. Light cocoa on the palate. Light malt accent with hints of nuts. More of a regular porter, and not a very enticing one at that.

Sample at Jupiter fest. Pitch black Tan head. Dry chocolate malt aroma is pure with some nice coal accents. Hint of cocoa and cherry. Balanced with nice sweetness. Booziness in finish after a chocolatey but not fudgey body. Simple and good but not special. daknole (11049) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - JAN 25, 2009
Poured at the Jupiter beerfest. Black pour wtih a nice tan head. Roasted malts hits your nose followed by some good chocolate notes. The flavor is very roasty and has a faint amount of tartness to it. Not bad at all. hopscotch (11161) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - FEB 18, 2008
UPDATED: MAR 10, 2009 Draft… Jupiter Craft Brewers Festival ‘08… Pours pitch black with a huge, frothy, beige head. Fantastic retention. Sweet, dark chocolate nose with a touch of vanilla and roasted nuts. Full-bodied and ultra-velvety with faint carbonation. Leans on the sweet side of balance with rich, malty flavors of chocolate and coffee. Modest burnt and bitter notes. Lengthy, bitter-sweet, burnt finish. mgumby10 (1856) - Jupiter, Florida, USA - JAN 27, 2008
Draft. Pours dark brown/black with a medium light brown head. Smells of rich roast and dark malts. Some mild chocolate and burnt toast in there too. The flavor has decent body to it, alot of that roastiness makes up the taste and mouthfeel as well. Light chocolate and more toasted malt round out the flavors. This is a solid porter. A nice little unexpected surprise from the festival I had it at. jcwattsrugger (12434) - Florida and, New Jersey, USA - JAN 20, 2008
