3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Can from the brewery. Bright reddish-copper with a small white head. Aroma of caramel malt, sweet biscuit, subtle hops that come a bit more to the fore as it warms up. Flavour has similar notes, with a similar "more hops as it warms up" effect - mainly orange peel, with a slight earthiness. More traditional British in style than North American, I’d say - and in that’s regard, it’s more than decent.
For an IPA this is very disappointing. Taste like it is mixed with lager. Unimpressed. Tessic (1269) - Brantford, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 28, 2018
This IPA poured a nice amber colour with a frothy off white head. Medium lacing. Scents include a little caramel dough and metal. First swig was not bad. Not overly hopped, nice and malty. I’m good with it. Flavours of caramel, toast and hay. Finish is malty with a little hoppy bitterness lingering. bunget (1052) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 7, 2017
Can. Clear orange body, medium beige head with good retention and lots of lacing. Aroma of grapes jam, hard candies, flowers, some cheesy notes. Taste of grains, bitter herbs, hints of pine and caramel. Ok. BrewWhatIWant (324) - Ontario, CANADA - JUL 6, 2017
New green package with a boar on it. Pours copper with a small offwhite head. Aroma is malty with notes of citrus. Taste is slightly sweet with a slightly sour, tannic finish resembling tea with lemon. There are notes of buttery toffee, biscuit malt, lemon, orange, and black tea. Fairly watery with moderate carbonation. I went into this expecting an American IPA but it was very much a British bitter. When I realized this, it really put the flavour profile in perspective. It didn’t, however, make it good. Butter toffee, lemon and tea do not make a very good beer. mikkopen (1199) - Guelph, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 1, 2017
473 ml can. Clear amber colour, thin white head. Sweetish malty aroma with notes of honey and fruits. The flavour is sweetish malty, with fruity notes and a mildly bitter finish that resembles... tea I guess? I’m not sure what the brewers were trying to achieve here. This is not a particularly bad beer, but it has very little to do with an IPA.

Nice orange/ copper colour with a fairly quick fading white head.
Nose is malts, mostly. Some sweetness too (honey & floral). Moderate honey taste. Soft carbonation.
Overall a decent beer. Not a typical IPA. Eructoblaster (4515) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - OCT 20, 2016
Can - 473ml. Limpid amber body with heavy carbonation and a thin, off-white, frothy head. Malty/hoppy aroma with strong sweet hints. Alcohol is noticeable. Its robust hoppy taste carries malty and sweet notes. Ends with a decent bittersweet finish. A way too sweet, but it is still drinkable. ChadPoole (479) - Ontario, CANADA - JUL 24, 2016
Pours orange amber with a white head. Aroma is all malt. Taste is malt and grains with very little bitter. Not a bad beer but not that remotely resembles an IPA.
