COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Deep golden in color, made with light caramel malts, hopped with loads of Amarillo hops with a slight citrus flavor, then dry hopped for 4 days for a plentiful aroma. Our brewmaster’s favorite.

Pours a slightly hazy golden orange with a wispy off white that dissipates rather quickly. Aroma of apricot, mango, melon and a bright floral character. Taste has citrus and lemon with a grassy/floral element and a light biscuit backbone. Finishes with a pronounced rind-like bitterness that builds. Light bodied with medium carbonation.

Poured from 12oz can into nonic pub glass, a crystal-clear golden colour with weak off-white foam. Pretty neutral grainbill, crisp, highlighting big Amarillo hop flavours and aromas. Not too bitter. Hop-forward but as such, well-balanced. Light body, strong carbonation, slightly warming alcoholic strength, lingering hoppy aftertaste. Good not great.

12floz can, freshness date not found, $1.50 unit price, pint glass. Light orange in color, with a slight haze, and little head. Nose is nice as it has a stone fruit presence - peach and apricot. An amarillo hop ale that doesn’t have a strong medicinal powder taste. Instead its just a citrusy APA on the verge of being an IPA. Although the standards of the last 10 years or so seems to have pushed these types of beers to APA classification. Quite drinkable too.

12/26/16. Hey, another random IL beer! This was pretty damn good, actually. Orange pour with a nice khaki head. Nice citrus aroma, some pine and cattiness. Good flavor as well, citrus, pine, catty, a touch of dank, pale malts and a touch of caramel poke through, but not too much. Tasty!
