COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
- A deep amber colored ale with a noticeable hop aroma. All of the flavors and aromas of a highly hopped beer are balanced with a combination of several quality barley malts to prove a surprisingly drinkable 7.47% ABV beer. At BBW we believe that an IPA should have a good malt character to sing along with the abundance of bittering and flavor hops used. This beer is unfiltered and unpasteurized and is partially bottle conditioned therefore it may have a small amount of yeast sediment on the bottom of the bottle. We suggest letting this beer warm up slightly from refrigeration temperature then pour into 2 clean clear pint glasses roughing the beer up a bit (pour aggressively) at the end of each pour to bring up a nice thick head. You may reserve any sediment and dispose or drink it - please don’t be afraid of sediment! It is the result of living yeast and is yummy. We hope you enjoy this beer as much as we do and share it responsibly with friends.

A soapy IPA that has a nice floral finish and drinks very easy for it’s ABV. Without a doubt one of the better WV beers that I have ever had. I am drinking it maybe a little too cold, thus there is chill haze. Woodsy earthy finish. Promising.

Draft at Slammin Sammy’s at the Greenbrier. Poured a light copper color with a small off-white head. Aroma was light sweet malts, light bitterness. Pretty tasty.

Pours a hazy copper color with a thick four finger eggshell foam. Aromas are citrus, moldy hay. sweet malt, touch of herbal medicinal weirdness. Flavors are a bit stale, lots of toasted sweet malt and a strange buttery sweet undertone with a bitter tinny finish. Glad to get a rate in West Virginia.

Pours a hazy amber/ruby with a HUGE off white head...so big it was difficult to get a reasonable pour. aroma has some boozy/perfumey earthy hop notes...touch of orange. flavor has a touch of caramel followed immediately by earthy/perfumey hop notes...boozy and too perfumey. Mouthfeel is light and super lively with caramel creeping back in before drying out with earthy hop notes.

22 oz bottle: aroma is sour, caramel malts resin hops. Pours copper with thick head, lots of lacing. Amber ale, not an iPad. Disappointing. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle at the ChrisO Snow Tasting, London - big thanks to Jan. Pours clear amber with a fine, bubbly white head. Dusty caramel in the nose. Medium sweet flavor, lightly alcoholic, with some dirt, dry pine, bread and caramel. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Lightly warming and resinous on the finish with toasted bread, dry pine and yet more caramel. Pretty average.

Pleasant woody aroma, old-ale-like, but without the sweetness. Similar taste - very woody. Anna says it’s sweet, I think it’s dry. Anyway, it’s very nice in the palate. Drinks easily for 7.47%

Scopey (15290) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - JAN 25, 2013
Bottle at ChrisO Snow Tasting, thanks to Jan. It pours hazy amber with a small white head. The nose is old wood, varnish, toffee, spice and hot-cross bun. The taste is wood, wood polish, varnish, hot-cross bun, toast, caramel and faint citrus with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Easy enough to drink, but average at best.
