Poured on draft into a pint glass. Pours a nice amber with a thin white head of foam. The aroma is a roasty, malty slightly hoppy combination. Its a little more bitter than anticipated while still being very well balanced. Really enjoy it.

Clear amber colour with a small off-white head.
Floral hops, sweetness and maltiness in the aroma.
The flavour is spices, sugary sweetness, malt and mild hops.

Tap. Frothy light tan head, coppery clear brown body. Toffee, slight caramel and earthy bitterness in he aroma. Toffee and leaves in the flavor, slightly sweet, malty but not overly so. On tap at Pies and Pints. Clear llight amber with small off-white head. Light lacing, low carbonation, medium body, and roasty aroma. Taste is roasty malt and a light crisp hop finish. Slightly better than Staghorn, but not as good as Ayinger.

Experienced at the Bridge Road Bistro on tap in a pint glass. The beer pours a medium to nearly deep amber color, with a moderate and long-lasting white head. The nose is extremely slight, lacking any sort of classic German malt or noble hop character, and instead showing the clean aroma of an American light lager. The palate shows malt character, but that resembling English toasted and pale chocolate malt, rather than continental caramel and Munich malts. Hop character is essentially nonexistent, other than perhaps to balance the aforesaid malt. Carbonation is essentially the only part of the beer that reflects an Oktoberfest lager, other than a clean yeast profile. The finish leaves notes of toasted malts on the palate. Overall, utterly disappointing and completely off-style.
