DuffMan (10733) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - SEP 11, 2017
Bottle shared with Doug and PArksy. Deep amber-gold, lively white head. Interesting profile of perfumey florals, light yeast esters, and peppery wood in the finish. Unconventional, but I liked it.

UPDATED: AUG 2, 2017 Clean intense golden with brown reflections. Almost amber. Lemon, honey and juniper berry. Nice twist on gin aromatics to enhance flavours. Would have prefer a bit paler with less specialty malts. Dry and good balance. Fun beer

Rating #2447 - 2016.04.12 - Draught at Bridge taproom. Pours a lightly hazy golden, bubbly white head. Aromatics of lemon zest, juniper. Quite carbonated. Complex nose and interesting depth despite not playing along with style guidelines. Tasty.

Sceptical. But not enough to not find out. Poured out the fizziest beer I’ve seen in at least a million billion blillion years give or take. Ok, so it’s lemon gin flavoured and its got that light peppery saison but it’s so fucking fizzy and overcarbonated. Not pop but. More poppy smelling than tasting. Aaaaaaaand here comes the clarinet solo. Really what the fuck were Van Halen thinking? Sadly it’s one of the better songs on Diver Down. VH’s attempt to make a Zepplin album but missing the first turn and driving head first into an oncoming train. beer - a sit adds a bit of variety to the aroma. Kind of enjoying it but kind of not. Enjoying it more than Diver Down.

On tap. Pours a hazy gold-orange with a huge, long lasting, white head that left plenty of lacing. Sweet aroma of lemon peel, coriander and yeast. Sweet flavour of lemon, gin, coriander, yeast, grass and mild pepper with a dry, bitter, slightly tart finish. Medium body with an oily texture and average carbonation.

[8622-20160813] 650mL bottle. Grassy fresh lemon zest and fruity aroma. Slightly hazy, orange brown body with a medium-lasting creamy off-white head. Wheatie grassy lemon flavour has a grassy finish. Medium body. Good, not sensing much gin in it. (6/3/7/3/14) 3.3

Tasted at 2016 Great Canadian Beer Festival in Victoria, BC. Good saison base, nice lemon juniper overtones

Appearance: cloudy pale gold with two fingers of rocky white head, excellent retention and spotty lacing. (3/5) Aroma: wheat, fruity esters, mild lemon, light juniper. (6/10) Taste: moderate sweet, mild bitter, light tart. (6/10) Medium-light body, moderate carbonation, off-dry light tart finish. (3/5)

I was hoping for much more lemon gin, actually - I was flashing back to drinking Lemon Gin Collinses as a much (much!) younger lad. This, though, has only the mildest of lemon or gin character. It’s actually dominated by a wheaty malt, with generalized fruit tones. Lemon is late to the party, and there’s only the merest whiff of gin/juniper. (12/20)

MarkoR (959) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 17, 2016
650 ml bottle. Pours a hazy golden colour with a massive white head. Aroma is wheat, fruits. Taste is similar, plus citrus, coriander, spices. So so.

jercraigs (10921) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 14, 2016
2016-08-13. Hazy golden orange body with a small foamy beige head. 3+ Aroma of sweet lemon, very light herbal touches. Flavour is similar, sweet lemon, very light herbal touches. Muted alcohol. Average bodied palate, soft carbonation. Enjoyable, lots of lemon, not a ton of gin character for me, possibly to it’s benefit . 7/4/7/3/15 Bottle shared by Wilco.
