Opaque black beer, good pale tan head. Smooth palate, very light. Mild fine carbonation. Smooth light milky dark malt, no roast or bitterness, just very light. Whisper of coffee and chocolate. Mild minerals. Not much else here but the dark malt is marvellously smooth and the beer is very drinkable.

Bottle @ fonefan tasting. Nice head with good duration. Color is dark brown. Aroma and taste are roast malt, rich hops, flowers, chocolate notes and pine. mcberko (18583) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAY 5, 2016
On tap at Bitter Phew, pours black with a large brown head. Aroma brings out loads of roasted malt and piney hops. Flavour is along the same lines, with a highly roasted, nearly burnt malt quality upfront, backed by tons of bitter piney hops. Nicely balanced, with a harsh finish that works. Very good.
